Freemasonry is a very shady brotherhood that has played a major role in the development of the united states as we know it. I think most lower level masons are innocent. But into the higher levels, you will find many secret plots and many powerful people.

What is shady about freemasonry? I am a freemason, 5th generation to be exact. I don't think people understand what freemasonry is all about. It isn't the secret society that it started out to be even at higher levels, I know because there are 32 degrees and I've gone through all of them and awaiting the 33 degree. I still haven't heard any secret plots of over throwing world governments.

Basically you will find a lot of conspiracy theories, sonce no one really knows what really goes on. I find the history and the secrets to be very interesting.

Are you talking about Albert Pike's reference to Lucifer? All I can say is watch the History Channel about Freemasonry. It expains why the word Lucifer is mentioned. And for ruling the world it looks like the Vatican cornered the market on that idea! People should do research before making assumptions!

Freemasons don't follow one religion, we all believe in GOD, to keep an open mind and not to exclude anyone. If we were to mention Jesus that might offend one who does not believe in Jesus.
