Is there life after separation?

I was wondering hows life after separation and divorce? I started a discussion about my friend who is contemplating on separating from her husband. I want to relate on her feelings so any one out there who have been or going through that situation? Do you feel emptiness,discouraged,mad at yourself? Is it a roller coaster feeling?

definetely it depends on the person, the kind and length of the relation... Some people are not made for relations, and those are usually very happy to be free again, some others were in the wrong relation andd also feel free.. I think for a balanced person who was in a fair relation (we are not talking abuse and pervert relation) there is definetely a loss like any kind of separation from any thing, there are in certain situation children involved, loneliness, financial losses, social stigma, change of friends, false accusation, rumours .. but at the end everyone wants to survive, and life takes it course, and eventiually people learn from their mistakes and failure and grow, and get wiser...

Separation is almost as bad as divorce when only one of the partners want it. No one should stay in a marriage that they dont want, however some people are just to quick to jump on the bandwagon. Most relationships are based on feelings, therefore it is very difficult to apply some sort of logic when going through such an emotional thing. if your friend has the courage to confront her demons and make sure her spouse is fully aware of her mindset, if nothing changes then she should take that next step.
