Dolls are just not for girls. I have seen boys have them as well. There are male versions of barbie. What about Ken. He's a barbie. I have seen many barbies of all different shapes and sizes. Don't think you are looking in the right places. And barbie is famous cause it has been around for years and they made a quality product for children. Even adults that are long time collectors.

Dolls are not just made for girls. Guys can play dolls if they want as well.
My fiance plays dolls with the girls all the time. He doesn't care whos watching and he doesn't care what people say. What's the difference if a man or little boy plays with dolls? Does it make them gay? Does it make them a sissy? No it doesn't It just brings out more of the guys senstive side. Guys don't have to be macho all the time.

You know, I doubt any kid ever looked at a Barbie doll and gave her sexiness a thought. Barbie is a fashion model, she is shaped like a fashion model. If you were creating a doll that is based on fashion models, what shape would you make it?

hmmm. it depends... but i dont think that models have big pointed boobs.... models are usually slim and the body are not so sexy so all dresses can fit on them..... 2nd... kids have this green mind u know... they play with the barbie as lovers and sometimes do THAT THING coz they know that they got to do it in order to have a baby,.. thats all... tnx!!!!

There are boy dolls just as there are the girl doll. There are the GI Joe dolls, fighter fiter doll police dolls. If you know of a profession there are dolls to fit it. When Barbies came out she was the only adult doll on the market so she became popular and the toy company keeps coming out with new ones all the time. Girls like fairy tales so barbie also make dolls to fit them all. Little girls like to dress up so they like to dress up their dolls.

Barbie is a very slim and pretty doll. She appeals to little girls because she is so attractive in her model like proportions and with her long sickly hair. The classic Barbie is has blond hair but there are variations of her with red, brown or black hair. Her boyfriend is called Ken, but he was made years after Barbie was first made. I think that it is a shame that there wasn't a male version of the doll. Action Man is so different again.

yeah action mans are not dolls.... is the creator of this barbie is a man??? if he is a man then why did he made a girl barbie... if not then its a kind of bias to create their gender-only- barbie!!!
tnx!!!

Well, there is a male counterpart of Barbie and his name is Ken... he is also popular but not as popular as Barbie... not all dolls have sexy bodies... i had a doll name jenny... she dance but doesn't have a sexy body... and i think japanese barbies are not sexy too...
Most dolls have their male counterparts... but they were not made for boys but as an accessory to the famouse female dolls... like Hello Kitty and Dear Daniel...

There was a matching male doll for Barbie, granted they did not call him a "Barbie" doll specifically, Matel called the doll "ken" and he has done ok, but has never been particularly popular as a toy boys. The doll like toys for boys were, as someone has already mentioned, GI Joe and the action figures. At least in the United States it still seems to be considered "unmanly" for boys to play with dolls. If little boys want to play with dolls they are taunted with being gay or homosexual and called sissies, etc. As for being dress designers, that is still not real cool for you boys, it is just barely acceptable for college age students.
