When I don't want to sing or open my mouth, I do put out a smile instead..
It brings out many emotions, most of the times HAPPY. Some songs even offers me more than just a smile, as I can laugh listening to every lines and can be uplifting as well..

it's the serendipity of hearing your favourite song that really brings a thrill sometimes!

Whenever my favourite songs come on radio,I dont know why but a smile comes on face.
its something within,something uncontrollable.
the feeling is so good.something abstract.cant put it into words.
and if my mood is not good, just listening to the song makes me happy!!!

I only get to listen to the radio when I'm riding public transportation. I don't usually hear my favorite songs on the radio since I have a sort of unique preference for music than the general public. While I was riding one last Sunday, I heard one of my favorite songs and tried to control myself from singing along (lol). Then right after that song, was another favorite song mine. It surely brightened my day.

This happens to me all the time - not so much that the songs bring back happy memories but I love 'the oldies' and they really perk me up. I also love embarrassing the kids by singing along - it drives them crazy so figure I'm just paying them back for all the times they drive me crazy.

LOL - yesterday son and I went to town, I had thought earlier in the day it was great he hasn't changed my radio station in a week - I like Family Life Radio and he likes the junk kids listen to. Well, I made the mistake of starting to sing along in the car and he says, "That's it,, I could barely handle that station but I'm not listening to you too." and changed the station - oh but then he starts not only singing but dancing in his seat at the same time. I changed the station saying, "I can't handle the music, your singing is ok if I could stand the words, but your dancing is making me laugh too hard I can't drive". He then used my own words against me - turned the radio off and said, "Comprimise Mom" - no radio but he kept singing and dancing :( It really was funny and sure other people on the road thought we were crazy.

yes i do smile and whistle and sometimes i do some dance steps especially when the track is one from my younger days, its usually pleasant to be reminded of those good old days when you and your buddies get together to do things only you alone can do together.how do you respond in your case?if the song brings bad memory i just sigh and smile to myself and ask how did i get through that time?

Lol yes.
I will just stay there and enjoy the favorite song.
It doesn't even matter if I have the song somewhere... I just want to enjoy it when it is being played too.

Not really.
I have already listened to all my favourite songs on Internet a lot of times. They have started to bore me now.
But if at all I have missed listening to any of my favourite numbers and it suddenly plays on radio, then I would feel happy at heart. I don't think I will exhibit it through a smile.

Yes I do. Especially when that song reminds me of someone special or something funny. :)

Not only do I smile when I hear an all time favorite, but it also reminds me of all the fun times I have had while hearing that particular song. Club songs instantly make me want to get up and start dancing around no matter what mood I am in.
