The solar mobile phone charger is a solar energy charger,a new concept of the 21st century. This is a new energy that protects the environment, and since the power source is from the ultimate sun, it is an economic energy source. Do you think otherwise, what is your view on this.

Yes, its high time we should start finding alternatives for traditional sources of energy. We have already used the major part of the coal and petroleum that are used for generating electricity and running machines/vehicles. Solar energy has come out as a good alternative. But there are few limitations that prevent solar energy from becoming very popular. These are: 1. It cant be used during nights/non-sunny days. 2. Its a bit expensive for now. 3. People are less aware of these things. I think technicians should work further in this direction to make these new technologies cheaply and readily available.

I perfectly agree with you.Give it sometime amitsking, it would be improved in time and the cost would be more affordable. Technology is great if is affordable and avaible for everyone!

yes its true they lack the drive to make it more convenient for everybody but i think it is not a technicians job to improve it but it is the job of the engineers.

You are right miryam...One needs to be in a tropical country or place. It is now wet season here in my country, so I have to keep that regular electrical charger too, in case the sunshine get some tantrums to show up today LOL!

Will admit I haven't heard of this but sounds wonderful - any time you can save energy and use a natural source I think it's much better for everyone - I don't know why they haven't thought of this before now, they've been doing it with calculators for years and years.

Absolutely, it is a wonderful invention...Love it!I think faith, they came out with a product like this as other countries are not that all day tropical. So if there will be no sunshine, energy source is out too.

Yea that's true - maybe they could come packaged with both options - I know right now I'm thinking "Sunshine? What is that?" It's been cloudy here for a week - snow then rain but hey it's Michigan, if you don't like the weather wait 5 minutes and it'll change. I know I have 2 solar lights on the porch and there hasn't been enough sunlight to light them for over a month.
