I really don't remember my first day in school, at that time I was too small.

I was smacked in front of the whole school for not joining in when everyone else was asked to pray.
this was not a religious school, just a normal one.
to this day I resent the actions of the teacher that thought it was acceptable to force a child from a Pagan family to pray to a Christian God.

My first day was great when I was still starting up in Kinder. I remember that I was eager to be in school because I will be meeting new people and that I would be finally using my new pad paper, and I would definitely be a true blue student. :)

Hi, I live in England. My first day at high school was quite petrifying - I had just moved from a tiny school where eveything seemed small to a huge school which seemed like a world in itself. The staff were all very friendly and welcoming but I still felt nervous, especially because I was in the youngest year in the school. I walked to school with my friends and that was the first time I walked without my mum, so that was a new experience. When I arrived, I just wanted to be at home! I saw all the students that were already part of the school walking in and the number was considerably higher than my old school. For me, bullying was a major thing that crossed my mind, but luckily it didn't happen to me. After a couple of days, I could find my way around quickly and the school didn't seem so huge. I settled in after about a week and I was very glad!
