Easy Creamy Corn Casserole - Easy Creamy Corn Casserole
Here is a recipe that I recently tried and I loved it. I hate creamed corn, but this is more like a corn bread and was wonderful. Let me know if you try it. Easy Creamy Corn Casserole INGREDIENTS:1/2 cup butter, melted 2 eggs, beaten 1 (8.5 ounce) package dry corn bread mix 1 (15 ounce) can whole kernel corn, drained 1 (14.75 ounce) can creamed corn 1 cup sour cream chives, black pepper & garlic powder to taste DIRECTIONS:Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C), and lightly grease a 9x9 inch baking dish. In a medium bowl, combine butter, eggs, corn bread mix, whole and creamed corn and sour cream. Spoon mixture into prepared dish. Bake for 45 minutes in the preheated oven, or until the top is golden brown.

I was in Louisiana for 6 months and I got so attached to the food there you wouldn't believe. However most ingrediants needed are not available here.:( But.... I am wondering how to make a rue....Since you are Southern maybe you can help me out with that. I also love Seafood gumbo, but with the absence of Okra.... it sucks. What do you suggest? I want to eat Southern food again..

I really wish that I knew how to make a rue as well. My best friend's husband is from New Orleans. I'll see if I can get some tips from him & let ya know. I really like collard greens with smoked turkey wings & cornbread dressing (of course) with cranberry sauce & some really good baked chicken with candied yams! Yummy!!!!!
