Hi Cher! I have a lot of info for you on how to go about selling crafts (I do it myself) I had an article published on the internet expaining on of the best ways to sell crafts online (I don't have enough posts to copy & paste yet) so if you accept my friend request, I'll forward the article to you.
I also have a crafting blog and can suggest some pointers to you about how to begin, possible avenues of how to sell, etc.
What type of crafting do you enjoy?

Cher, if you are looking for some ideas check out Etsy.com
Poeple sell handmade items there and there are some good crafters that do tags, gift cards, etc. You can take a look at what they make, sell for and maybe pick-up some new ideas or determine your creations are worth the same money and decide to sell there. At the very least, you'll have a good idea of what to ask for your tags and cards.
If you want to know more about ETSY, feel free to ask !
Good Luck

Congratulations on making a decision to try to sell your crafts. I myself am a crafter (ceramics, jewelry, plymer clay, and bags). I have an etsy shop and my own website. I also sell at flea markets and other places.

I'm in the process of setting up a website and selling my mums and a few other peoples. I don't make anything, I may take the time to make some cards maybe but nothing else.

I do sell crafts at festivals and craft shows. I did have a store online at Midwest Craft Fair for three years and never sold a thing....but I do very well at festivals. You can go on the net and find every festival in the U.S. if you want to. Then decide which you want to attend. It's a very fun way to meet people....I am addicted to doing them! I miss when I don't do one on a weekend! LOL

I sold my handmades for years... I went to many local celebrations where booths were available, and especially our local Dickens Fair in the fall. Check out your local paper, or check the internet base for your town and neighboring towns... you'll find lots of opportunities.
For selling online, I'm doing etsy.com soon... easy to set up, and they handle all the hassle for you! Good luck!!

Etsy.com is a good place to start. Their prices are reasonable and get quite a bit of exposure.
I make and sell items made with plastic canvas. I do well at craft fairs in our area on the weekends during the spring and summer months. Most of my items are made during the winter months while I am home. I haven't done any holiday craft fairs as they are generally terribly expensive to get a booth.
Best of luck and hope you do well,

When I was starting out selling my Artist Teddy Bears, I did a lot of craft shows. My best resource for finding the shows was to go to my local Chamber of Commerce and get a list of the activities for the year. The list is free and it's a wonderful source for finding shows.
After doing a few shows, I was approached by various business owners wanting to carry my product in their stores. Soon I was able to cut back enormously on doing local shows.
If you can find a way to get your newspaper to do an article on your craft it helps out lots in getting places to carry your product. I have had six or seven articles done on my bears and I always got a call from a local store wanting to see my product and it led to my having another outlet for my bears.
Another thing is to check with the local hospitals. Depending on what you make they do look for different type items to carry in their gift shops.
That's just a few of the ways I got my business off the ground. I hope some of the suggestions have been some help.

I would like to make jewellery or home decor items, i like everything beach and have made some really beautiful statues and ornaments out of beachy items. I think they are beautiful and some people really like them.

I am trying now to start to sell my sewn fancy cushions. I am finding it a little difficult, but only because I keep running out of stuffing, the costs are more than I anticipated. I am thinking about selling them at the flea market on sundays at the local mall.
Good luck
