hey i totally agree, its not about the fact of cars going really fast then crashing. its about how they win and how they go about doing it and about the perfomance of the car and teamwork. my wife dont like it but she lets me watch when i dont work on sundays i love the races been to only one but that will change soon enough

I prefer quarter-mile straight track, but that's probably because that is what my Dad runs!

Nascar is more than going fast, it's more than turning left, it's more than the strategy...It's the personalities, the disputes, and the comeraderie of the fans. It's a lifestyle all of it's own. We as fans all have our own favorite drivers, yet when we gather can put those differences aside and converse on the subjects at hand, who's fastest in practice, who got the pole, who has the best chances, who got fined last week for what, and who is driving for who next season. It's fans camping for a week outside the track gates just to be the first to get inside and stake out a small piece of real estate as close to the track they can get. It's getting up on raceday and putting on your favorite driver's color, while the people next to you are doing the same. It's cheering like a madman when your driver takes the lead and cussing when he wrecks. It's standing in line for three hours just so a driver can sign his name on your shirt, jacket, hat, or die-cast car. It's standing in the rain with 150,000 of your closest friends listening to the sound of jet dryers circling the track. and that's what I think!!!

Couldn't of said it better myself!! It sounds like what we did at Texas last week. Jet dryers were going for about 5 hours and we loved every bit of it because we knew they were gonna get it done and we were gonna race! Thanks for putting it so well in perspective for those that have no clue my Nascar Buddy!

Justiman,
ROZTREDTOES (he is my neighbor) asked me to send you a message. His computer's main processor has burned out and he is trying to get it fixed. He'll be back on line as quick as possible. He is not sure if it was his burning caustic wit or a muslim conspiracy that did the chip in.

I would rather drive than watch it. After a while it gets boring. I prefer the 1/4 mile(I've taken my car to the strip) but as long as I'm going fast it doesn't really matter. It would be awesome to get to drive NASCAR.
