Well so far that's the only time that I have to read because of all the things that I have to do. I love to read at night because everyone is silent and I just get to lay in bed and read and relax from the stressful day.

I usually go to bed around ten but read in bed until midnight or one in the morning. I work full time and go to school full time so this is one of my best reading times.

Presently I don’t do much reading. I think I spend more time on watching than reading. Anyhow I still eke out a few pages daily whenever I have my spare time. When younger I did a lot or reading during nighttime. Very often I kept on reading from dark to dawn. I went to school or work with my ‘panda eyes” the following day. I found that I could have more privacy to read my favorite books in the relaxed manner and no one would interrupt the reading.

I love to read whenever I get a chance, but I like to read right before I go to bed, it is I agree quiet at that time and I can really get into my book. Depending if the book is any good I either fall a sleep quickly or I am up all night reading cause I can't put the darn thing down. But I like my routine. Even if it involes a few sleepless nights. I'll catch up on my sleep eventually. lol

I like to have a relaxing bath then get into bed with a book. I always intend to read just a few pages but I have been known to complete a whole book before and then realise it is nearly daylight. I suppose it depends on the material I am reading. Know about it the following day though!

I read almost every night. One, it's about the only time I have to read, and I enjoy it so very much, even if the book is one I've read time and time again. Two, it helps me to wind down and get sleepy after a day of running around and trying to please my entire family (I'm mom to five and married too). It's my quiet time and my time to concentrate on something other than others' needs. Thanks for posting this discussion!

Yes, I like to read at night. I think that for me, reading relaxes me a bit and after a hard day of doing battle: I need some relaxing. It is in hard for me to calm down somedays. My only problem is that I could stay up all night reading and then not get any sleep.

With sufficient light, why not. Like you say, its calm and quiet so you have a greater chance of enjoying a good book. It makes me drowsy though..
