It's a shame this show wasn't made in the US. We might have had more episodes. Then again, it probably would not have been as funny........And the Catholic Church probably would have protested.

Cannot agree more. I think it was one of these shows where they had 3 or 4 very good characters played by the right actors. I think the fact only 3 series were made, gives it of kind of classic appeal.

Father Ted's great - I'm a late convert, missed out on it at the time (combo of religious guardians and always on too late) then for ages it seemed to silly/deliberately offensive
Until recently every time I've remembered/managed to sit down and catch the repeats it's always been either the Christmas one or the film protest one ("careful now, down with sort of thing").
Not sure how it's ended up on BBC America, it's always been a Channel 4 show here (Britain/UK).

Father Ted a comedy show.... ran on the BBC in the UK for 2 or 3 seasons, I watched it on BBC America in the US.
