I am still writing for helium and first when i start there was need 100 word for one article. Later they change it to 200 and today I look and it is 300. So i was wonder id it change for everyone or it depends on how long you are the memeber there.

Did they make it to 300? It is a new news to me. Well, that means we have to keep lengthening our articles on topics which has very little to be written about. Anyway, it may be due to the latest "The Helium Write & Rate Reward-athon! ". I think it is to avoid people writing too many short articles just to earn money.

It is not dependent on how long you have been a member. They have always had a suggested minimum of 400 words, and they have been gradually been moving toward making it a requirement. The idea is to get rid of the very short, one or two sentence pieces that are not really quality writing. Sometimes it can be restricting to have a word count to follow. There are exceptions- recipes and poetry can be shorter.

I am no longer a member with them because of this same reason. I think it changes as you become a member for an extent of time. I could be wrong, or maybe they changed it for every one. All I know is I can't write an article with 300 words. I find it was hard enough writing 100 words and then 200 words, so once it reached 300 words I just don't work it anymore. Good luck to you, and watch it will probably change again to 400 words.

It is hard to tell. I am a little disappointed, because sometimes there just ain't three hundred words. Now you will find a lot of fluff just to make it to the 300 word mark.

This must be a new change with Helium. They are offering more money during the next couple of months, so I guess they want the articles to be more substantive. This is ok if the topic is a broad one, but sometimes they pick a narrow topic, and with that word count, people will end up getting repetitive just to make it to the end. Sometimes brevity is better than long-winded. Good luck with your writing!

Sure, I would like help you. I think at the begining is best to try the most topics as you can and see later which are earning for you the best and then I suggest to stick with those topics. Also don't forget to promote your writing, to your friends, family memebers...
