Ya know, those brave people that track tornados to gather information. Like from the movie Twister.

I think that they must be insane. Seriously though, you have to admire a person whose courage will allow them to follow their passion with such dedication. These people are fully aware of the danger, yet while everyone else is rushing away they are rushing toward the storm. A wealth of information has been accrued over the years as a result of their work, and this has resulted in a vast saving of lives.

I sooooo admire these people. But, yeah, they're insane. There's some major thrill issues going on lol. Thanks for posting!

I think they have to be really brave to get so close to a tornado. I would love to go on a tornado chasing holiday.

I agree. I've always been fascinated by tornados and volcanos, ever since I was a kid. It would be cool, but really scary to be a storm chaser for a day. Thanks for the reply emma!

ooh I love cloud watching and watching tornadoes in real life, but I am not sure if I would want to actively chase them in a vehicle.... It looks like an awesome, and admirable thing they do, and the data they collect. I really like them

I think they are nuts, but hey if they really enjoy it know the risk and are helping others by doing the research for people to be safer... I would have to say thanks for being crazy enough to do it.

I think they are GREAT! In fact, when I was younger that is what I always wanted to be. I know it takes a lot of courage and everything, but can you imagine the thrill and the rush you would get from it? I may be crazy, but I would still love to go on a tornado chasing tour!

Oh NO! I did not mean to post so many times. The page was not loading... Sorry about that... Deduct those extras please.... Stupid dial up server... is giving me trouble tonight. My humble apologies... I think MyLot should give us the option to delete our own post, in case a server goofs up like mine just did...

Actually, a lot of people have been having that problem here on mylot, including myself, so I don't think its your server or your fault at all. Thank you for the post(s)lol.

Well, I think they're quite crazy, but if they are happy doing it, then it's fine by me. And, storm chasers are quite valuable to us. Without them we may not understand storms like we do now.
