I started a discussion almost a year ago about smoking, and prices on our smokes. So I wanted to bring the topic up again, but focus on banning smokers from smoking in public.
I heard a rumor that Paris has gone completely none smoking. I dont know if its true, so if you know please help keep me informed.
I live in Texas, and many places are banning smoking from public restaurants, and even bars. Dallas is almost completely non-smoking.
I thought Fort Worth would never conceid to this, but even some of there bars are trying to go non-smoking!!!
Southlake (a city about 20min from Dallas) has gone 100% non-smoking!!! you can only smoke in your garage, or house. You cant even smoke in your car, driving through Southlake!
has anything like this happened in your area?
Have you spoken up? Wrote congress? legislature?
It will keep happening, as long as smokers sit back quietly and let it happen.
will we let smoking become essentially illegal?
What are your thoughts?

I think that if theyj want to put all these bans in place, smoking should be made illegal. I do smoke, but if we are not allowed to smoke anywhere, then why would it be legal? I do not mind not smoking in public buildings, and understand that people do not want the smoke in restaurants, but they are getting carried away.

I truely believe that smokers should have a right to chooose where we smoke and if we want to smoke. it helps many people out and its their choice if thew want to harm their bodies or not.

I'm glad that it is started everywhere in the world and I hoped that It will also be strated here in my country. I know years ago there is a law here in my country banning from smoking in public, but as a kind of government we have, the imposed law only good at it's first and it never last.

Yes, I also agree in banning smoking in public. It should be done in smoking areas designated. For the protection of those who are not engage in smoking. Doctors said, second-hand smokers are more in danger than the smokers themselves.

I am in favor of banning smoking completely and not only in public places. I used to be a chain smoker and I personally think that its about time that we care for those who are still smoking. Implementing such will help those smoker cut down their expenses, smells good and freshen up their breath. lol
