Ban on Indian workers in Malaysia: Truth or Myth??

Yesterday while chatting with one of my good friends (who is working with a reputed media firm) I learnt that he was panicking over this fact that now he wont be able to continue his work in Kuala Lumpur and that he and his wife have to fly down to India to look for another job now. He seemed really upset and started cursing the politicians and his destiny. I was shocked too by hearing this news but tried to console him by finding out the truth. I read a snippet that said even the Indian priests wont be allowed to work in Malaysia. But in one statement I learnt that they will allow those Indians to continue working if they already hold a job there. But today I read that some cabinet minister has denied this fact. I'm still confused. Can anyone tell me whats happening in Malaysia?? Even I was planning to look for an opening in KL. Will I be able to work there? what's the real scenario over there?
