what religion?

Hi there, I watch big love spradically but have thoroughly enjoyed what I have seen. My question is what religion are they? I have read magazine articles, and heard people talking, and had discussions about this and the vote seems to be that they are mormons. But I'm not too sure.. I have known and been good friends with many mormons over the years, and I can't imagine any of them being ok with polygamy. Unless its a bit of a branch out from that religion...?
