Which indie bands do you tend to listen to?

I think when it comes to real "indie" bands the one that's been getting the most rotation on my player is She & Him. I love Zooey's voice and their style is so different from all the popular music out today. The super sheltered pop princess I work with even recognized her voice (from Elf, of course) which gave me a somewhat vicarious sense of pride. :) I've been kind of on a quest lately (more quest-like than usual) to find more unsigned artists or new-to-me indies. Since I live in a cultural wasteland with absolutely no scene I have to rely on last.fm for tips. Usually I find someone I like (like Neko Case) and the listen to the similar artists. That's how I found Gillian Welch. I found Babyshambles by searching for artists similar to the Libertines ("similar" is a somewhat inaccurate term - "side project" is more apporpriate).
