We usually try to get rid of virus from surfing the net and from diskette. Me I use 3, an anti-virus program, a registry cleaner and Personal Sygate Ad-aware software for almost 3 weeks and it made my computer free from viruses. I am always alarmed of hazards and I can know when somebody is doing high jacking info from my computer.

I use Symantec too and I've used it for years.
I've never had any problems with it at all. Trusty and reliable. And yes, updating is a necessary step in your computers security. You don't want to catch a "cold" because of a lack of information now, do you? :)

For my Linux OS, I use nothing.
For my Windows XP, I use Nod32 and ZoneAlarm Firewall.
I have never gotten a virus before.
