Every morning I think about this and make plans and goals. So what can you do? Sometimes I buy things or fix things we need. Sometimes I tell my family how much I love them. I make them feel secure, happy, loved. I joke around alot to make them happy but they know Im serious about better life quality. What can you do?

Wow, Dbmax -- I'm inclined to congratulate you for being a 'salt of the Earth' kind of guy! You've really earned my respect for beginning this thread!
What can I do? Well, I believe, down to the core, that one of the best things we can do for our loved one's, and ourselves is to say what we mean, and mean what we say. Doing so creates an environment where trust can flourish. And, trust within a family is vital.
I also believe that laughter is as vital to a family as oxygen is to the body. So, creating an evironment where each feels comfortable and confident enough to laugh at the little things, and themselves is a great gift to those we love.
And last, though the list of loving acts of kindness is never-ending, is to always let our loved one's know that they are our top priority. This, of course, means factoring them into our decisions, and seeking their feedback. Listening, REALLY listening to people is a powerful gift indeed!

The one thing that you can do to improve your loved ones life is to spent time with them more.It is not actually gifting them with materialsitc things but the way you make them feel you are there for them whatever happpens is what makes them feel secure and safe.Even if you joke around a lot, when they need emotional support give them that. When they need solitude, give them that.It is not the way that money is more importnat or the amount of time you spent with your loved ones,it is the quality of the time spent.
