Have the Wind ever knock down anything on your property? Well I went out to get and My Car this Morning, We don't have a Garage, we half to park our Cars in the Backyard, I usually park facing a fence, The Fence was knock down, and It was My Niebors Fence, the fist thing I thought is He is going to think I did it. so not to long ago, I was looking out my back door, I seen the Owner who's fence was knock down by the wind. He was fixing the Fence, so I told him, I bet you think I knocked your fence down, because My car faces the Fence. It said, well It did run across my mind, I told him I didn't do it the Wind knocked it down, I wanted to let him know I didn't do it, God as My Witness, has anything like this ever happen to you, I know he think I did it but I didn't. The wind was really strong. Ok, I just wanted to share with you what happen today. Thanks Marcie

When I was in British Columbia, I was staying with my foster mother and the wind knocked down the plum tree in the front yard. I have no idea why you would tell your neighbor you did not knock his fence down, when he knew that there was a strong wind and it would be obvious that your car would have been half way in his fence, there would be tire marks and everything. I bet it would not have run across his mind if you had kept silent. He did not ask you first did he? It would take more than one woman to knock down a fence.

Haha, that's funny, It was a old wooden fence. I seen him putting it back up, and I said to him, I hope you don't think I did this, because My Car faces his fence, as soon as I pull up in the back yard, My car is faced where his fence is. He knows the wind was strong. but I think he was kidding when he said I thought about you first. And I said I didn't knock your Fence down it was the Wind.

We had some very high winds here in Indiana last night also but it didn'rt knock anything down in my yard that I know of, thank God. Your neighbor should have been able to tell if your car hit the fence or not. There would be at least a litlle bit of damage to it or something. I hope your neighbor is smart enough this time to figure out that the wind did it again. We have a fence also but I am glad it is still standing. ~Steph

Your welcome. I hope all is well with you and your family. I am glad the fence did not land on your vehicle or he may have blamed you for sure on that one.

It was windy last night, we had high wind warnings up. He was probably teasing you when he said he thought it might have been you. I didn't have any damage, I do know some people lost power for a few hours.

That was a pretty strong wind that you had. We had strong winds today but there was no damage near my home and nothing was knocked down. The only thing that wind has done at my home is blown the trash can down the road several blocks. It has blown my bird hopper feeder over slightly but not all the way down. Hope that he does not try and blame you for the fence coming down. I believe you. :-)

Well well, I haven't seen you around in ages, How are you? I hope all is well, anyway, getting back to what you were saying, God as my witness I didn't do it, My car faces the Fence, so that is why I told him I didn't do it it was the wind. there were no damages, you could see that the wind did knock it down.

You obviously don't live in CA with the Santa Ana winds! Those bad boys blow up to 100mph right through the towns! ALthough I have never persoally watched it happened, it is very common for the winds to up-rrot trees, big one, old ones! I had 2 trees in my front yard and during the night of the Santa Ana winds, both trees were up-rooted and laying down in the street. It happens all the time out here. THey even blow 18-wheeler big rigs over, roofs off houses, and this is right here in town!

I live in the Northern part of Ohio By the Lake. There was a real bad Hurricane in Illinos, which is about 5 or 6 hours from me. I hear a lot of trees and branches got blown down here in Ohio. That wind was so strong.

I had wind knock down a big section of my wood fence before. Of course it happened in the Winter during a storm and my husband was out of town and I had 2 dogs that if given the chance, would run away and follow their noses. It can happen and I found our fence was put together with nails not screws so after a good fix, it never happened again.

Marcie, I remember that you don't live that far from me in Ohio (you're West of the City, and I'm on the East)...we had the strong winds last night too. The news said our little town had winds of 69 miles per hour! They also had news crews filming around our town, and there were trees down that hit their houses and all kinds of stuff from the storm. They also said there were power lines down and that town didn't have electricity. Luckilly, I live far enough away that the power outage didn't affect the house here. I did have this huge pine tree, in our back yard, that looks like somebody just tipped it over roots and all. Lots of big branches down around the house from my ancient maple trees, and I can see trees tipped over back on my woods line. I had trouble sleeping last night, so I was awake past 3am, it's right around then that the winds started settling down. I couldn't believe those winds, it felt like we were in a hurricane or something! Geez, I'm sure your neighbor understood, especially if he caught the news about the excessively windy conditions last night. Mother Nature sure is a powerful force sometimes!!

Gees, I can't count the things that has got knocked down, blown away, or just completely torn apart from the wind. We had a tree fall onto our property, which took 2 wks for the owner to come, cut, and haul it away. I had to go chase patio pillows in the pouring rain. I have given up on having a mini flag hang from my mail box because the wind gets so strong sometimes it rips it apart. We spent a lot of money on a patio gazebo, that the wind ripped the covering apart. Your neighbor and you are very greatful that the fence didn't fall on your car. If you hit the fence, anyone would be able to see that very clearly.

I once had a large tree knocked over that barely missed hitting my house. If it had hit, the roof would probably have caved in. A couple of times I also had stuff from the neighour's yard blown into mine. I would have said "finders keepers", except they were ruined after being blown around. So I gave it back.
