College is way too expensive. I have a child and family to support and I hate that they keep raising the cost of tuition.

college prices, like the cost of everything else these days, is way too expensive. Unfortunately, to get the kinds of jobs most of us want requires a college degree. Colleges know this, which is why the keep raising their fees. It will pay off in the end, though, so keep at it. Just stay as far away from credit cards as you can. Student loans aren't a bad thing if you need financing. maybe your parents can help you get a loan if you need it? I am about to go back to school myself, and I am 30, so I know what you are saying. Do it now, though, before you get married and have kids. I did it the other way. I was married with a family before I tried to do it, and it was extremely difficult when I went the first time. I am going back to finish my Bachelor's, and I am not looking forward to it. Good Luck...

I'm preparing to go to college this fall and the cost is not exactly something I like to think of, although it's necessary. I even bought a little magnet to try and lift a bit of the college fund blues..it's a little teddy bear that has a t-shirt on that says, Young & broke..but I still rock! The government complains so much here about not enough teachers, doctors, nurses etc. but what are they doing to lower tuition so it's not so daunting to become a teacher, doctor or nurse???
