do you leave your computer on overnight ?

i do not leave my computer on overnight due to power usage for no reason (unless backing up files and whatnot) i think it is actually stupid to leave it on when it uses power uses the life of your personal computer parts when you don't have to and it keeps me asleep due to led and you have light what do you think? does it do anything to the hardware when i turn it off when ever i don't use it for long period of time (hours) used everyday thanks.

yes i do. there is no harm as i download movies through out the night. in india its winter so i dont have to bother about computer temperature.
there is certain no harm in making your computer work hard be it overnight or day-night. one thing you have to keep in mind that your hardware do not get burnt or anything else. hope it helps

No I don't.
I prefer to rest my computer unless I am using it. If I am using it soon but not too soon, I may leave it on but switch off the monitor.
But if I am going to sleep, it is definitely off. I won't even download things overnight.
When I am sleeping, I also don't like any electrical thingies on.
