Filipino Politician

Looking at the difficult living of common Filipino's and the luxurious lifestyles of the politicians, would you say that being a politician in the Philippines is the most shameful and disgraceful job there is? Pls. Explain...

Well I would say that you can say that in general terms but I know a few politicians that still are doing what they are mandated to do. So I would say it would depend on the kind of people who sits. Most may be crooked already but there are still a few that can have the credibilty that an ideal politicians have.

Not all Filipino politicians are that bad. And somehow I appreciate politicians for their desire to serve although many really have ulterior motives. Just imagine if nobody likes to hold those positions, what will happen to us. Anyway, the people are given to chance to select in the elections. Choose the lesser evil.

No all Filipino politicians are bad, I agree with you on that. But even though politicians here doesn't have very good reputations, their positions are never scarce of aspirants. Many good men desire to serve, however most Filipino voters especially in the rural areas are threatened by a more powerful political adversary not to vote for those candidates. That is why, rural areas remain rural for decades. Political dynasties are unwilling to let go of the reins of command. Untill the voters will be educated not to fear those intimidations, progress would be a dream within a dream.
