For those following my long drawn out saga over my ex, well you will be pleased to know that at last, finally it is OVER...
I have finally got my ex and my ex landlord OFF my back
I have agreed to forfeiting the deposit and in exchange my landlord will NOT hold me responsible for any breaches or liabilities on the house my ex is living in
My ex has also grudgingly agreed to leave me alone and that my dear friends is...
A RESULT!
And I always talk about guardian angels don't I
Well today I got an email to say that I had won £500 in a competition (equivalent to $900) which makes up for losing the deposit!
What a great start to 2008!
I know we are only 10 days into the new year but has anything exciting happened for you?
My quote:
We have to get back on the bicycle of life and get riding. At first, we need the stabilizers on, then we learn to cycle again, against the wind and brave the elements that life chooses to throw at us.
I have learnt a valuable lesson FREEDOM should NEVER be taken for GRANTED.
Thought I'd share some happiness on a very Windy Thursday
Wolfie x

Oh it's good to hear you being happy and strong. I can see you with a big grin. I see you in your alone time proud of yourself and strong and in charge of you and what happens to you. You probably doubted yourself more than once and you probably worried more than you needed to and now you have come out the other side. You are whole and intact...you've beaten the bully. Now you are top dog!
Gosh I'm proud of you. Big hugs my darling friend. xxx

I am so happy that you got some resolve from this. Sorry that you didn't get your deposit back. It seems a shame that it wasn't returned. But, good that you had other funds come available and that it all evens out.
Better to lick your wounds and walk away.
Big huggers to you.

I really thought I had answered this discussion sweety but it looks like I didn't actually post it properly, oops. Anyway I was so happy when IO read this post as I know how much this means to you and what a weight off your mind it really is! Even without the money you won it would still have been a result, although I have to admit winning the competition must have been the icing on the cake! I Had a great start to the year as well when I actually got my Mri scan done on the 4th - that was all I was wishing for for myself! xxx

Congratulations wolfie! That is such wonderful news, and just goes to prove that each new day is filled with the promise of new things to come. It's sort of like that old saying: When a door closes; a window opens. Now you will not be burdened with wondering what lurks around the next bend of the road for you. Enjoy your good fortune in this New Year.

I am so glad for you. Let's hope your ex keeps his word and leaves you alone now. How did you win that money? Did you enter something or do a survey? What kind of competition? Good for you. It's funny how things work out sometimes. Loose money on your deposit and then make back the same or more, from something else. Congratualtions.
I haven't had anything exciting happen to me yet, this year. But I am optomistic and believe something good will happen. Life its self should not be taken for granted.

Well, I'm glad to hear that. There are happy endings after all. I've been following your saga for quite some time, and know it's caused you a lot of grief. I'm so glad that it all worked out. Don't ride your bicycle of life today, too windy. We had the wind here yesterday, and it blew some signs off the big skyscrapers, causing the roads to be closed today.
So, I predict a wonderful year for you, with many interesting things to come.

That sounds exciting. Now you do not have to worry and that horrible landlord and your former room mate are now in the past. I hope life takes a much better turn for you and things keep looking up. We cannot keep just standing still and worry. I have not had any windfall, and never won any money though. I guess I do not have that type of luck, I have to work for what I get.

Oh, that is fantastic news for you Wolfie. A happy 2008 without anymore worry about your nasty ex and your old landlord is here for you to enjoy. It was worth losing your deposit to get left alone by your awful ex and it is also fair that you will not be responsible for any damage to the house. Well done on winning £500 in a competition. You deserve that my friend. Yes, freedom is a wonderful thing that people that have it should be grateful for. I like your quote about the bicycle of life. I am so pleased to hear that you are so happy Wolfie. xxx

Hello my dear wolfie friend. I am very happy to know that this problem of yours has finally been settled with relief. It is good to hear that from my wolfie and you will start to have your happy and carefree life again without being bothered by your ex. Yeah, it is really exciting to win the competition of 500 pounds at the beginning of 2008. Here I wish my dear wolfie a prosperous and healthy and happy year of 2008.

That is great wolrie, you kept pushing for clusure and finally you got it! It is great to see someone finally get something that they deserve and that they want. Now if you remember this feeling well you may not jump into another relationship hastily and thus you will get to enjoy your freedom for a little while. Normally this is not the case but one can hope for ones friends to be smarter than oneself right? It seems like you even came out even Steven on rthe rental deposit issue, which is extremely rare barring divine intervention. So enjoy your victory Wolfie, you must have earned it!

Just keep thinking on the bright side and it's quite cool to hear that this was all out of the blue. so did you get the money sent or do you have to claim it?

I am glad to hear that everything is turning around for you and that 2008 is starting off in a good way!
I am more than ready for 2008 to show some promise for me. So far 2008 is starting the same way 2007 ended. Crappy.
Nothing exciting happening here yet.
