Yep, I've had mine out. I remember counting down from 10 as they were checking if I was"put under." And the next thing I knew, they were done! It was so scary. I tried to open my mouth to look, and that was a huge mistake! My cheeks didn't swell up too much, because I immediately went to sleep with a bag of ice on each cheek. Hope you feel better soon!

I am 27 and have not yet had to have this procedure done yet. I am terrified for when I do. My jaw is so small I can not imagine how they will get my mouth open enough to extract them. Yikes! If you get some clove oil and rub it on the gums near the stitches but not on sore then it will numb it naturally. It works for other tooth pain so I can imagine it will help.

Strangely, I only had 1 wisdom tooth and I had it extracted several years back. The dentist had absolutely no trouble extracting it because the roots had not begun to spread; therefore, ONE yank and it was out.

I did not get mine out they said.. that I had enough space in my mouth to leave them... However they still kill me going in and out and in and out and in and out.. Stay in or stay out stupid teeth.. :) They should be called smart butt teeth instead of wisdom teeth. :) .
