When I got sick with the flue last week I was eating soup alot. So now Ive gotten into the habit of eating soup for lunch. And of course with crackers. I like chicken noodle or chicken rice soup. Im just wandering how long this will last!LOL So tell me do you get use to doing something and continue doing it even if you dont have to? If that makes any sense to you.LOL

When I started working at my current job, I would bring 2 bottles of water with me to drink. Now I can only drink my water from a bottle! I have to keep one filled and on the counter or with me when I am home. Weird, but true.

Good Morning Terry, oh, it's so nice to say that, haha.
I haven't had the flu for a very long time, (knock on wood and I mean I'm knocking all over my desk here until my knuckles hurt, haha)....but I know that Chicken Soup would be a definate. I put a little amount of Heinz Ketchup in it, it gives it a really good flavor.
I've been having a can of soup and a sandwich (triple decker ham, haha) all week for dinner...just have a craving for it. I like trying new flavors of soups and with the cold weather outside it just hits the spot....mmmmmmm.

Chicken soup for the soul..ahhhhhhhhhhhh Can't say I have although I really wish I had with my diabetic diet. After I had my daughter, my blood sugar dropped back down in the normal range again so stupid me went off the diet and threw away the diet chart. Wish I never did that cause I was losing weight on it and keeping it off.

I developed gestational diabedes while pregnant with my daughter so they put me on a strict diabedic diet hoping that would control my blood sugar but ended up having to take insulin as well. I'm fine now but just wish I would of kept the diet chart that was personalized just for me.

You mean you don't add whipped cream to your soup? You're slipping..LOL. The only habit I can think of that I still do is this. For many years I would always take a small bottle of water with me whenever I went out, no matter what the season...It was really great in the heat of the summer that if I got thirsty would have my bottle of water to drink while out. Now, I really don't drink that much water while I'm out anymore, don't know why, just don't but out of habit I still carry a bottle..uh, just in case

I do this type of thing sometimes. It becomes part of my "routine." I can fall into routines very easily. The problems start when something happens and messes up my plans. I have worked very hard at not letting something silly upset my whole day, but it happens every once in awhile.
I realize this is not the case with your soup though. I worked at a doughnut shop once and before I did, I would think, "How in the heck can these people eat a doughnut EVERY SINGLE day?" Then I worked there, and guess who was eating doughnuts every day? At least your soup doesn't have a hundred bazillion calories and loaded down with fat like my doughnuts. :)

VERY, VERY thankfully I have an extremely fast metabolism and I am naturally a small person! I did gain a few pounds, but not more than 5. As soon as I stopped living on doughnuts they fell away.
These are the best doughnuts ever though! I go back every single time I am in Mississippi! In the summer on the weekends, they literally have a line around the building. No exaggeration. And by working there, I got them FREE! :)

I try to stay the same though I am sick.I only surrender when I feel I am really sick and I make some change.I always care little about the problem of my body caz I dont want to worry too much about it.I will get back the normal way the moment I feel a little better.

I do that all the time with certain foods. After about a week or so, I get bored with the same food and switch to another food. Then it starts all over again..lol These cravings can be annoying. I am a soup eater all year long no matter what the weather is like outside. Glad you're feeling better.

This may be your body's way of telling you that you still need something that is in the soup. Even though you feel fine, your body may know something you don't. My advice is to not fight it. Enjoy your soup as this phase as many things in life will as fade away.

Hello dear TerryZ. It is really interesting to have developed into a habit of doing and continue doing something after some special case. Well, I think that I have the same case as you do. Now I am quite used to opening Mylot every day after I became a resident here. It is now my favorite habit to always open Mylot and respond to and start discussions once I turn on my computer. It has become my habitual action. hehehe. I guess that I will always stay in the habit as it is my favorite site. lol
