Who has a favorite Tom Hanks Movie?

It's hard to just pick one, Tom Hanks is such a good actor. I've liked a lot Forrest Gump and "the green mile" but maybe my favourite is "catch me if you can", (more from Leonardo Di Caprio's performance than Hanks', by the way). Instead I hate "Castaway" coz IMHO is too much depressing and the ending is realistic(the woman she loves is with another man) but too sad

Hello dear ermommy. Speaking of Tom Hanks, I have to say that his movies are really great. There is one film of his that I love to watch and never get tired of watching, but I am sorry to say that I have forgotten the name. In the movie, there is a very good and meaningful sentence by him like this, "Life is life a box of chocolate. You will never know it..." something like that. This is my favorite film of his. I guess that you have got to know which movie that I am talking about. Thanks for your topic on Tom Hanks moives.

I loved Forest Gump.

I am going to go with a tie between Big and Forrest Gump. I have watched both many many times. I really like Tom Hanks as an actor. I think that he can get away with a lot of different roles. More than most actors who seem to lay the same type of character all the time.

For me, I would say Forrest Gump. No matter how many times I watch it, it never gets old!!! lol it really makes you think about caring for others and the feelings people have, even if they are "different." its a really good movie to watch over and over :)

My favorite is Castaway. I just love that movie although I wish he'd been able to return to his little island at the end. **AT PEACE WITHIN** ~~STAND STRONG IN YOUR BELIEFS~~

I love Tom Hanks, so it's more like which one of his movie do I NOT watch over and over. (For me that would be That Thing You Do and Apollo.) But you gotta love Big and Forrest Gump. He was amazing in Philadelphia, although that's a sad one. A League of Their Own was another good one. Sleepless in Seattle and You've Got Mail. And old school Hanks--Bachelor Party and Splash. Ah, he just doesn't make that many mistakes careerwise. Even with the sillier flops like Joe vs. the Volcano.

Forest Gump.....yup I could watch it over and over again! He is a good actor in anything he does...but that is my favorite!

Big is one of my favorites, but at the top of the list is definitely Appollo 13. He was incredible in it, and Ron Howard did an amazing job getting the facts correct. It is one movie I can watch over and over and never get tired of it. I also really like Castaway and Philadelphia.

the only Tom's movie running in my head now is "You've got mail!" I think I will go and find the DVD and re-watch it.
