This starting year I decided to give it a try. Just a gamble and luck of the draw the way I see it. I have never played it before so it's just up for grabs. I chose to pick my own numbers than to get the numbers automatically from the machines. If ever I win it, I plan to open up a big business in the Philippines and donate a big help to those who are in need do to diseases, financial problems, those who are poor and my family that is up there. And I might devote my life playing full time Poker as well. How about you?

I have never feel like playing lottery: the probability is so low that wasting money for that is just irrational for me.

Seems we have a lot in common. I do play the lottery with varying results and I like to play poker. I have cut down on my lottery purchases but like to get in when the jackpot's big. Of course I never win it. I have won smaller prizes with scratch off tickets and daily number draws. I won $500 on the sixth scratch off ticket I ever purchased. Our state began it's lottery on Friday the 13th in October 1988. I was standing in line when they went on sale. I bought 5 and won a $1. I went back through the line and cashed it in and bought 5 more. The very next one I scratched off was $500. Unfortunately, I haven't won as big since but I've hit a few for $250 - $300.

well darkangel079, I have a small club here in Western Canada and have beenplaying/studying the lotteries for about 10 years and one of the ways to make sure your numbers might come up is to check the winning numbers since your lottery started and make sure you don`t have the same ones as winning numbers won`t come out again for another 1,500 years or more(according to experts)...

well there was a time that i used to play the lottery.
but as the time passed by, and i saw that i loss more then i earn i stopped.
i know that i am an addictive person in my personality, so it is very important for me to stop from time to time and think of what i am doing, if it is good to me or not.
i decided to quit playing the lottery.
but i do get a celery, and from that celery i do try each time to help some organizations and give some charity, it seems like the right way for me.:)

I play the lottery every week, I spend about 2.00 a week on my own, as well as in a pool with work people. I would build my dream log home in the country, and drive all over the States in my big RV field trialling with my dogs.

I used to play the lottery. At the time, I was cashing my check at one of those check cashing places that also sold lottery tickets. So a ticket a week. Then the Colorado lottery went to two drawings a week, and decided to quit playing. Now to have a ticket in every drawing, I would need four tickets, two for the state lottery and two for the Powerball (to be able to win the big prize, you have to pay more). I quit paying because I thought that they were getting greedy, and that it was starting to add up (being poor I could not spare the money). Now, I will occasionally pay a ticket when one of the jackpots is way up there, but as a general rule I don't play on a regular basis (so I might play the lottery twice a year); I am better off putting the money in my saving account.

I have played the lottery before. It is fun and doesn't cost much. I don't play often though because I never remember, not to mention the odds of winning are very slim. My husband loves those scratch off tickets though! He picks up a couple of them occasionally.
