You probably won't remember atari? It was a video gaming system back in the 80s! Showing my age, and I was addicted to asteroids! You were a little rocket in the middle of a huge asteroid field and you had to shoot the asteroids, you would get little alien craft come to shoot you down as well! There were quite a lot of games like Pac Man, Space Invaders and the list goes on. I have since found Pac Man on the internet and it's still addictive as it was 20 or so years ago. I don't tend to play video games now, but I do have a little nintendo handheld machine which I play Supermario Bros on.

I thought the Atari was made in the 70's? My mom talks about how people she knew had one back then. I know there were 2-3 different versions, some of them coming out in the 80's. My grandma on the other side of the family has like 30-40 games for the Atari that she plays.

I'm a huge fan of all the Zelda games. I just love them and even though it's pretty much the same story every time, I can't get enough of it.
Every game just seems to get better and better. I'm in the process of playing Twilight Princess for Gamecube ( i don't a have a Wii). It rocks too.
I think many RPG have gotten their ideas from Zelda.

My absolute favorite game of all time is Final Fantasy 8. I hated the battle system, but I love most of the characters and the storyline.

Dragon Warrior/Quest 3 and 4. They were the ones that started me on the RPG path I am currently addicted to. I LOVE RPGs ever since I played them.
In fact, my father ended up buying us DW3 when we were younger, saying it was cheaper then paying for the late fees we always managed to rack up on the game. And our constant complains that we didn't get our saves back.

This is a pretty good discussion and I am sure a lot of people out there have a opinion on what they think is the best game ever, either because of characters in the game,or the story line,or other reasons, and then I am sure there are a lot of people who do not have a favorite game because they do not like video games which I know a lot of people do not like video games because they say video games are a waste of time and do nothing but cause children to become violent and hateful to other people which I think is a load of crap and is not true at all,or because they do not play video games very often because they prefer to spend their free time doing other things like reading a book, watching television or doing other things such as maybe going outside or hanging out with friends, and I can understand why people would or would not like video games since there are so many different video games out there today, and I have always been a big fan of video game and have always played video games, and it has always been one of my favorite hobbies, and I would spend hours on end sometimes playing video games like they were going out of style lol,I think in my opinion the best game every created would be any of the games in the Splinter Cell series which I could play over and over without getting tired of it because you play as CIA agent Sam Fisher who gets to use stealth to take out terrorists that are trying to take over the world, even though my favorite game in the series is Splinter Cell Double Agent and part of the reason I wanted the X-box 360 is because Splinter Cell Conviction is coming out for the 360 at the beginning of next year, and I want to get it so I can finish mine and my fiances collection of Splinter Cell games, and I want to see if it is as good as Splinter Cell Double Agent which was the fourth game in the series,I also like Halo, and Halo 3 which is the other reason I wanted an X-box 360 because I heard a lot of good things about Halo 3 and it is an awesome game, and it is up there in my list of the best games and right now I am playing another game I really like which also up there in my list of the best games I have ever played is Legend of Zelda Ocarina of Time on the Nintendo 64,which I have been in the mood to play, and I started a couple days ago and I am in the Fire Temple where I have to free the Gorons and beat the boss Volvagia which is always fun,and I make sure I always beat the game one hundred percent and right now I have all but eleven of the heart pieces and all but like forty four of the golden skulltola tokens, and I can not wait until I beat the game, because it is so addicting, and I can not help but want to play it over and over again, and my fiance likes the game too,and she has beaten and I think she wants to play it again, because it is a great game especially if you like games with magic, and sword fighting, and a bit of role playing and a lot of detailed cut scenes which help you understand the story.
