Who Should Be The Redskins's Next Head Coach?

The players really seem to want Greg Williams to get the job but he didn't have any success in Buffalo and he seems a little too arrogant and egotistical to me. Bill Cowher is the big name being thrown around but he would run the same conservative, grind it out offense that Gibbs ran and that didn't work too well. I don't even know who else would be considered but whoever they bring in better not disrupt things because I think they have the ship heading in the right direction. If they can get a legitimate number 1 WR for a healthy Jason Campbell who would have another year of experience under his belt then that offense should really take off next year. I like Santana Moss but he's way too inconsistent and injury prone to be anyone's number one reciever. And then get another pass rusher on defense because they still need to do better rushing the passer if they're to be an elite team. They didn't put anywhere near enough pressure on Hasselbeck even though he did throw two INT's. I think the team is close. They just need a few pieces and a head coach that isn't going to completely change the philosophy of the team.

I think Greg Williams should get the job, the players want him and he, hopfully, will continue what Joe Gibbs started and get them to another Super Bowl. I was extremely upset that Joe Gibbs retired again, but he has his family problems to deal with and they deserve his full attention. I hope they give Greg Williams a chance and stick with him for awhile, instead of giving him one season and bring in someone else like they did when they bought in Norv Turner, who did nothing but ruin the the Redskins. Keep some continuity with the team and we can see them in the Super Bowl come February 2010!!!

I would love Bill Cowher to be the new coach. But I doubt he wants the job.Whomever is chosen Must understand what he has on his team and what is needed.

How about Marty Schottenheimer even though he got fired he made the Charges one of the best teams in the nfl and has been with the Redskins in the past. I heard former Redksin Stephen Davis once said they should of kept him around I would rather have Marty than Jim Fossil

I think that there is too much emnity between Marty and Dan Snyder for that to ever happen. I don't think Dan would ever admit that he made a mistake in firing Marty and I certainly don't think Marty wants to go back to work for the guy that fired him in favor of Steve Spurrier. It looks like the new coach is going to be either Jim Fassel or Steve Spagnolo of the Giants. I'm guessing that since Washington is going to wait until after the Super Bowl to make their decision that Spagnolo is the favorite.
