What would be best to Publish? / myLot

I write poetry as well as personal essays about what I have gone through in the past like being homeless and experiences in school and was wondering what would I be best trying to get published. A book of poetry or a book of essays? Do people actually publish books of personal essays?

I'd suggest that you join online writing community sites--this way you get to have your works critiqued and otgher writers there can also help or give you suggestions on where to start & go about it =) PM me so I can also give you the link, thanks! =)

i write gothic romantics poetries.... my inspiration is the girl if i love and sadness.... i'm go to the cemetery for find inspiration...

If you wanna publish a book try lulu.com. But this is not the most difficult part: the most difficult part is the promotion of it. I suggest you join a blog community and write the true story behind your poems. Hubpages is one of the best for that in my opinion - see my profile.
