Would you do it?

I was thinking last night about that TV show, I can't remember the name, where people got makeovers for free. Extreme Makeover! If you were offered an extreme makeover for free, they would fix all the things you dislike about yourself for free and also pay your bills so you have time to recover effectively, would you do it? I think I might let them work on a few areas that have been bothering me. Maybe a little liposuction here and there and possibly something for the emerging wrinkles on my face. Would you say yes if it was free?

I would say yet to the teeth whitening and the corrective lazer eye surgery! lol but not to cosmetic surgery. I dont think so no. I would not let them cut me open just so that i can try to look better, i dont care that much about the way i look, at least not at this point in my life. ;)

I am more concerned with the way I feel about myself than the way I look to others. I just think I would feel more confident if I thought I looked good in the mirror to myself.

I did the LASIK thing about 5 years ago. The best thing I ever did! The eye doctor told me I couldn't wear contacts anymore. I had a very heavy prescription, I had to put on my glasses to find my contacts. Since I work in a nursing home, I was nervous about what happens when I get older and they lose my glasses. I would walk into walls without them. So I had the LASIK and haven't needed glasses since. Totally amazing.

Judging by your picture there is no way on earth would ever need plastic surgery. Same to the others of you as well - unless you've been seriously burned in an accident or something - even then.......

Oh I'd definitely let them work on me...I'm not against plastic surgery and free plastic surgery is definitely a bonus! I watch the show almost religiously and love it!

First of all I love watching that show...but you have a great new concept of it..and Extreme Makeover for people..hey, maybe you should try and get that idea patented...LOL I've always been self-conscious about my teeth...despite having worn braces for god knows how long, and did have the perfect "Hollywood" smile, over the years, my teeth have shifted leaving weird gaps..so definitely would love to have a teeth makeover...also, maybe that Lasik thing for eyes..I'm near sighted with astigmatism...it's a real royal pain as I can't see far without my glasses, not even the computer screen, but I can't see close WITH glasses and have to take them off...so if I'm typing something from a page of a book it's a nuisance..take glasses off to look at the page of a book, then put glasses back on to type and see what I'm typing on the computer screen..grrrr

Lasik was the best gift I ever gave myself. Highly recommended. You can get a good deal when they have a sale. Keep your eyes open.

There isn't anything about me I don't like, so NO, I would not let them do any such thing. I earned every little wrinkle I've got and am proud of them. A friend got liposuction and she got really sick from it and lost her good health, her job, and her self esteem ended up being even lower. Nothing in life is free, that is my opinion. There is always some hidden price tag.

When you say "everything you dislike about yourself", does that include things like annoying habbits, OCD, things about your self esteme or just making yourself look good. I think I would hate myself more if I went about changing bits of my face and body and stuff, expecting to feel better about myself. It might make other people find me more physically attractive but unless I had some problem which had disfigured me I would not want to mess around with my features. This coming from someone with low self esteme and not espeacially physically attractive - I would much rather others adjusted to me than myself adjusting to them - if you see what I mean.

oh man what deal! I would get some things done. I would get lipo on my stomach cause I have some flab and it's hard to get rid of. Then a boob job and maybe a nose job.

I've never seen Extreme Makeover but I did see a few episodes of that Swan show or whatever it was called and I personally found it very disturbing to be honest with you...Sure there are things I want to "fix" on my body but I'd NEVER go to such extremes as getting mass work done like that..I actually think its very damaging really...Tweeking one or two things here or there is one thing but getting a COMPLETE overhaul is something totally different IMO

I would say yes so fast! I would love to be on that show or one like it (like the swan or whatever that was) I could stand to have quite a few things done and those people always look so amazing when its all done. the hardest part for me I think would be the staying away from my kids for that long. I watched that show a lot and wanted to apply but being away from my kids seems like it would just be toooooo hard. especially for 1-2 months or more.

I would definitely do it. I have been very unhappy for 15 years with my body. I have never regained my shape after having my daughter. I have tried diet and exercise but nothing seems to help. I am positive I would do it, especially if it is free.

I would definately take the opportunity as i have some problems with my tummy. If that would be fixed i would be so glad. Also i want to get in good shapen for the rest of my body, but that's the only thing i would do with the extreme makeover. If i could have a thin body not that i'm fat,but that would be great.

I have watched that show many many times. Yes, I would let them work on the areas that I don't like. My family would freak out (parents) but I would do it anyway. Thankfully I am naturally a thin, small framed person because I would hate all the dieting and exercise they make the people on the show do! :)

Heck Yes!! LOL...I dont look horrible after 3 babies, but I definitley am not the 125 lbs I used to be with a tone little body and a perfect rack. Kids are awesome and the light of my life, but they were the ruin of my body..LOL...I have stretch marks all over my tummy and would like the baby pooch moved...You know the little tummy most women get after having babies...And I want a boob lift...LOL..not bigger, just back up where they were before I had kids! So YES YES YES! I would go on one of those shows in a heartbeat! :)Especially if its free! lol

I would say no, if only for the fact that with my health problems, it would be dangerous. Most of my hair fell out due to PCOS and fibromyalgia, and even a hair transplant can't fix that. So since that is the most important thing to me, I would say no. But I would love to be put into their trainer's hands so I could work on my trouble spots. If I were completely healthy, I would say for sure.

Absolutely - both my brothers and my sister had braces - but my parents could not afford mine. I am not getting any younger...getting rid of some wrinkles would be great, some liposuction. It would not take much to convince me....

I would say yes to some things...not that I want to mention those things here lol. I wouldn't want to do anything major that would drastically change my appearance though...no nose job or implants. Sometimess I think I wouldn't mind a little tummy work being done since I have had 6 children...I'm not big by any means but do have a little extra loose skin and tons of stretch marks...but then I think about how I earned all of them and they're like my "badge of honor".

No way Jose! I'm messed up enough already! And what?! Have someone else's opinion of what I should look like be a permanent scar in place of the ones I already have? NO, THANK YOU! Even if they could make me over into something I really wanted to look like, it'd be no good because now I am no longer me. And false representation irritates the Bandini outta me! So, I'll pass on the redo. But yes, they can pay all my bills while I think of ways to create new ones!

YES, I would do it because I have been searching and looking into having some cosmetic surgery for a few years. I am petite, 57 years and dislike my appearance as I get older. I have looked into getting a Life Style lift on my face to remove the jowels, wrinkles on my neck, and lift the corners of my lips to change the frown for a better smile. Also, my upper eye lids hang over and the lower eye lids get puffy sometimes. I was suppose to have surgery on my nose in 1997 because I have a deviated septum and also have my nose fixed (it droops down) but I couldn't afford it. I am very self consious about my teeth they are so bad and i'm missing some. The stretch marks on my stomach are awful and embarrasing. I have tried so many diets even fasting but I can't seem to lose the weight on my stomach and would like to get a tummy tuck and liposuction. Also, have the celluite and varicose veins on my legs and thighs removed some day. What bothers me the most is my face and stomach -- my face looks tired and my lips frown -- i can't wear fitted clothes everything has to be lose and large I have no waist because my stomach is fat. I believe a makeover would help encourage me to feel better about myself and be confident once again.
