What’s the first thing you do when you open your computer?

usually when i open my computer i update anti-virus and othersecurity software as firewall adware and so on..make a quick scan afterthat check mails...all others come later..:)

Oh I wouldnt have time before work but I start at 7am so after work I check my email, start browsing my fav sites Like Mylot & Myspace. I then start researching for my graphics that I make on a graphics site.

The very first thing I do when I am online is to login mylot.com. during my spare time. I can see mine and my friends’ discussions and other new discussions on my home page. I feel satisfied even though I don’t have time to any further mylotting then. Other than that I will check my mail box, to read and send emails. I do like to read news, market watch from our local newspapers.

The first thing I do when I open the computer is after the ant-virus comes on is to read my Bible. I have the Esword program on it and I am going through two chapters a day. After than it is time for myLotting. So I open up my Slimbrowser first start commenting on a response to one of my posts and then start responding as well as answering mail. I know I should post, but right now I am still a bit sleepy.

Definitely mails first then my messenger ...n den start off with mylot....

Like you, I fist of all check my gmail. There I find the position about my posts and the posts which I had replied, then I see if there is any PM for me. I check out my PMs first and I move on to the discussions. My practice remains the same each day.

well i do have to admit that i really do not ever close my computer. but as to the answer to your question, i can say that the first thing that i do each morning when i seat by my computer, is to check my e mail inbox. all of the people that know me, know that this is the first thing i do in the morning when i wake up, so they also have the fastest way to inform me of the most urgent issues, by knowing the exact media i use.

hmm usually the first thing I do when I on my computer is probably on my torrent client (if I'm downloading something)..and check my gmail and who's online on my msn messenger and gtalk ;)

The first thing I used to do when I open my computer is that I used to check my e-mails. Secondly, I go to check my favorite websites and that include myLot. MyLot will be one of my best websites ever hehe. Have a great day! :-)

Checking my E-mail,registering my QQ---

The first thing I do when I power up my computer is closing down a ton of errors. Then I log onto my MSN, check my e-mail and visit myLot. I browse myLot for about half an hour or an hour and then check out various forums and do other various "mischievous" tasks.

I always check my emails first thing in the morning. This will be followed by news and finance websites. When neceesary, I will also do internet banking transactions and shop online.

I usually switch on winamp and play music and then check out my mail. The rest is just a random sequence of events with no order!

I first check my gmail account. this email is shared in many places so I check for important mails, mails from mylot etc. Then i log into mylot to approve friend's request,get to browse discussions and answer them.

Well my schedule is; I first check my e-mail, then my Windows Media Player and play some music, then check my balances in the accounts I have in the bank! Then I check my appointments I have for my band, to see if I need to work on some songs! Then I spend a couple of hours looking on the internet for; used cars that are low priced that I can resell; check on my bids on E-bay that I have made on musical equipment; check on bankrate.com to see if the interest on savings accounts and CD's have gone up,; then go to work with the computers at the tax office for 6 hrs! I come home and check my e-mails again, go to myfamily.com and catch up with any new information (i am one of the administrators), and then settle down and catch up on the mylot discussions! By that time I am pretty sleepy!! If I am not sleepy, I play a couple of games of freecell, and spider solitaire, and solitaire!!

Well the first thing I do after switching on my computer is to open my mail id , and check for new mails.

When I open my computer I immediately check my email, myspace, facebook, bank account, and then this :) I love being on here and seeing how much I earned the previous day lol which isnt much. Oh well, what can I say? I'm an internet junkie hah
