I use to have a couple of gerbils which I kept in a converted fish tank, and my cats use to sit and stare at them - we called it gerbilvision. It always use to make me laugh when they jumped at the glass, either they occasionally forgot they couldn't get to the gerbils or just lived in hope!

Aww...Corvette is a sweetie, uh, I think...LOL. I used to have birds too even with my cats, but they never seemed to bother with them..in fact, my one bird Cheeky, a small parrot type bird was THE boss of the house and put the cats in their place...in other words never bothered with her--in fact, since her cage was so large the cats used to sleep on top of it--just be careful that Corvette can't get his claws hooked onto the cage and make it fall down though!!

Corvette is a sweet cat. We had the cage on a table in our inclosed front porch and Corvette would just sit and watch them, then I moved the cage to the kitchen, I guess he just wanted to watch them and so I moved them back to the table, he is happy. They are friends.lol
That is cute that the bird was the boss. My mom's cat lays on top of her bird cage too.

Boy, Corvette is a long cat when he stretches like that. I'm sure he meant no harm, LOL. My little troublemaker Sherlock has this thing I have yet to break him of. As soon as I take my shoes off, he pounces on my socked feet. He bites my toes, trying to yank the socks off. I can't even stand on one foot to get the other sock off. I'll fall on the floor, yelping in pain until I finally get them yanked off and throw them in his direction.

That sure sounds funny, but I bet it isn't. I hope he gets out of that habit soon. When my dog was a puppy my son was 5 years old. Our puppy would bite the bottem of his pants to where my son couldn't walk without draging our dog. He did that every time my son would try to walk.

LOL - very cute photo. Our latest is the two cats - neither of them have gotten along since I moved in where I live now but when we brought in a beagle the two cats seem to have teamed up against the poor dog who is afraid of the cats.

Hehehe, craving birdies are we kitty?!lol,my 2 cats are quite the trouble makers, especially the young one, missy. She seems to get into everything, especially in my daughters room, hehehe! She steals her small barbie dolls, anything that has a feather on it,being a pen,her cinderella shoe with feathers on the toes, etc. We know shes got something when we see her flying down the hallway to go down stairs.Thats when the fight starts with my daughter and her,my daughter gets so mad and screams while running after her, haha!Even if we leave the drawer open to the hairbrushes, she will sneak and go get one to chew on.Its impossible to have those tiny balls in the house, she craves those things to play with and steals my daughters, well she takes everything of my daughters anyway.I caught her last week in my small phalm tree half way up the stem with sharp nails dug in and the dirt on the ground,GRRR!My moms cat likes to chew on fake flowers and destroys an arrangement in a matter of seconds, hehehe!

You cat kind of sounds like mine. He loves feathers too. He eats them. He also likes brushes of any kind, even paint brushes. He doesn't chew on them, he just carries them around. He also loves super balls and plays with them all the time. Corvette also loves to eat plans. I have to keep them away from him. Our cats could be brothers. lol

Your cat is just checking is he can play. It is hard those days to find good companion for play...
Boring life for cats, hunting anyone?

My cat playes with my dog, they are good buddies. He loves to sit and watch our birds. I had just moved them from a table on our inclosed front porch were Corvette would just sit and watch them. Curious little thing. I love how long his body is!!
I have a trouble maker indeed. Her name is Petrina, she's our lab/beagle! She is the greatest dog, listens very well, protects the kids but the second we leave the house, she's in the garbage, she's in the bathroom, she's eating SOMETHING on our bed. I don't know how many times I've crawled in bed to find butter wrappers at my feet. Or chip bags. Or even razors (because I buy the Intuition razor and she eats the soap around it)
She is a soap nut! We can't leave soap out because she'll eat it however, the other night I came home to find not one but two bars of Ivory Lavender broken open but not eaten. LOL I guess she doesn't like Lavender so that's what I'm buying from now on LOL
I wish I had a camera in my hand that day, the look on her face, her ears back and the two bars on the bed. I was almost like she was saying: Oh please mom, don't give me trouble, I learned my lesson, those bars were really gross! LOL
