Yes I know alot of you heard about my mice problem I had. So the other day I was outside picking up some things because it was beautiful outside. Like a spring day. Along the bottom of the house they is an outlet a big hole that is for the dryer in the basement. And the cover that was over it came off and was lying next to it. So I put in back I havent seen any more and I am so thrilled about that. I dont like mice! Do you?

I do not like mice. I had a problem once and like you I found where they were coming in. I put some of that steel cleaning pad stuff inside the hole. Now they do not come in.

I don't care for mice. They give me the willies! My husband has to take the mice out of the traps and dispose of them. We have 3 cats and they only manage to make the mice head for higher ground.

We have some pretty simple traps too. I can't put my hand near them.

Hi Terry,
I wasn't aware of this problem, but am happy to hear that you've got it solved. Quite a few years ago, we had two mice get into the house on separate occasions. One of them, a fairly large black one, just disappeared. The other was 'very bold,' and made its way up to the top floor. A friend came over, and kept watch, and 'took care of it,' for us. I 'think' they both came in through a gap that leads outside, beside the dishwasher. Both incidents were in the spring, as I recall.

I'm happy for you that you finally found where the problem was!
Well, I had Hamsters when I was little, does that count?, lol! I use to put them in my pocket and take them to the store with me and scare all the old ladies, hahaha.
On the other hand, I don't think I'd like the little critters running around my house all day eating my soup and sandwiches, haha.
And, I couldn't imagine watching TV and one running across the floor. So, in that case, nope, I wouldn't like them.
Kash would probably just play with them all day and have fun.

You were brave enough to move something the mice touched? lol I would freak out just at the thought of mice being around the house. Don't believe I knew about your mice problem. How did you handle it? I've seen the mousetraps with the sticky stuff on the bottom and how they work versus a traditional trap. It's sad to watch the mouse scquirm to get lose but it does work.
We've been in the same house for 34 years. Always told my husband that if I saw a mouse we needed to move..lol Have never seen any rodents whatsoever here and that's a good thing.
Sounds like the mice were coming in your basement area to keep warm. If they move the cover around again, leave them a note to go next door and hang out at your neighbor's house. You might have smart mice that can read!
Am glad your problem has been solved.
Have a great day,
carolbee

Hello dear TerryZ. Yeah, I know about the mice problems that have been discussed about months ago. It is so exciting to know that you have finally found where the mice are coming in. I hope that you have already had this problem fixed by now with no mice to come to bother you. Good luck, dear friend.

I don't mind domestic rats or mice, my nephew raised both and I love them.
But the wild ones...Grrrr, don't even get me going. I started a discussion a while back because we have things stored in this barn for over 1 1/2 years and I keep telling my husband we need to get ALL those things back. Why? Because every time he brings home just a few boxes, about half have had mice and ruined many things. I still have pictures and some documents I was working on there and he doesn't get that the longer it's there, the chance is greater that it will be trash...
Oh, the reason I packed away pictures and documents that I knew were going into a barn? It was summer time and the most these things were going to be there was maybe 2 months...
Sorry for the rant, but I really don't like wild mice...

Even though I ranted about the mice in the barn, we did used to have mice here at home too, before the cat..lol
And it was really gross, especially when spring cleaning came around and all the little places these mice would hide and there were mouse dirt everywhere..yuck..
I am happy you are now mice-free.. You can now sleep better..:)

good for you!! i really hate mice. they are scary. my major is biology, so in the first year of college, i was required to anatomise a mice. though it kinda look not so dingy because it was white. i had to examine and separate each of its organs as required. i felt like i was gonna throw up!! afterwards, i didn't have the appetite to eat anything.
