How early did you start having children?

I have to say, I had my first child at 15. Although that may seem young, but 19 years and four additional children later, I can say that I am glad that I started young. I feel that I have more in common with my children, which for me has made it easier to communicate with them.
How early did you start?

I was 23. We had our 4 kids all within 5 years. People thought we were crazy, and it was hard at first. However, we enjoyed the fact that they went through all the phases of childhood together. We always had a great relationship with each of them.
Our youngest is a senior in high school now, and our oldest is a senior in college. At 45, we'll be empty nesters.
Sure, we didn't have much "just us" time at the beginning... but then again, now we'll have decades of "just us" time... with money to enjoy it. ;~D

Your post explains one of the "pros" of starting early =)
I will be 40 when all of my children are grown. Yes my husband and I may have not had alot of "us time" in the beginning but when we do reach that point at least we will have many years (God willing) to be alone together.

I got pregnant at 17, but i had a miscarriage at 10 weeks gone.
I had my beautiful still-born daughter at 18, which is very upsetting and she will never be forgotten as she is our special little angel.
I had another miscarriage at 18 at 4 weeks gone.
I had a boy when i was 19 and he is now 19 months old.
I have another baby on the way, the baby is due in april.
There are alot of pregnancies, but as the doctor said "do what we want".
We wanted children young and all the problems just made us stronger and obviously we are and were worried about what could happen, but we are happy and still excited at the same time.

I have to say this every person is different and has different tolerances Kudos for you being able to handle having a kid at the age of 15. That just shows that you had the determination to make sure it worked. We all mature differently also. I was pregnant with my first child when I was 20. I had my daughter before I turned 21. It the best thing I ever did was to have my kids young because I'm able to go out play soccer and basketball with them and help them in what ever sports they join. I also be fairly young when they all turn 18 and go to college. I have 5 kids and with me being young I'm able to have the energy and patience to deal with it. I'll be 39 when my fisrt one graduates high school and 43 when the last one is out of my home and in college. It will be great for me.
Becuase at that point I'll have at least 22 yrs to build a nest egg for retirement. So I'm happy that I started when I was 20. Llike I said it all depends on the maturity of the person I pass no jusgement. To each his own.. have a nice day!
