How should discussions be worded to catch your attention?

There are discussions that sound interesting even though the topic is quite ordinary. There are discussions that are interesting but sounds boring. I figured, it must be how they write their questions or choose the words to include. All these, it's just play of words, right? So, how do you think posts should be worded in such a way that even ordinary topics would sound interesting. I'm tired of reading boring posts. I'm sure most of you are too. Maybe we could give some suggestions so we would all improve. Thanks!
