well a thought always comes in my mind everytime i start studying before exams that why do we need to study. do we need to study just to gain knowledge or to do work or to earn money. does study only teach how to survive in the living and changing modern world or it is a way to know more about our surroundings.
if it is for money then does studying or not studying matter. if it is just to gain knowledge then we should not need exams for we only have to learn as much as we can or want to.

That's the way the world is. I've always often wondered the same thing about entrance exams. Why does your high school performance affect the chances of whether you want to get into a good college or not? What if you want to change and actually start learning? The best answer I can come up with that one is, that's the way things are.
But studying before exams is essential. You may say that why should we do that when we already whatever was to be learned right? I like to think of exams as a way to see test your memory, of whether you actually remember the things that you learned. I study because I like learning about new things. Sometimes, there's this innate need in me to learn something new. Don't you ever feel that?

well you can always change the college if or whenever you study real hard.
But to think just because the things are there and going on does it really mean it is good or necessary. i mean the world and people change and develop to make things better don't they.
i also have a thrust for knowledge but i believe in studying things that interest me. i would like to devote all my time learning whatever interests me than something that i need for a better job. i want to know everything about something and like to find new things too.

I think most people either want that as well, or just want to bum around and have the money flowing. But we can't always get what we want in this life. We have to earn our way through it through the paths laid out by those before us. It's how the system goes and unless you become someone really powerful in the near future, then you can't really change much.

I am sorry to say this, but i do not know. I have not studied for one test in my life, and I am a junior in high school who has straight a's in AP classes and honors classes alike. Just before break, we had as AP US History exam and I got an 94 without studying at all. That is supposed to be the hardest test that any junior can take.
