At what age do you think girls should be allowed to wear makeup? Why or why not?I think I will allow my daughter to wear a little when she gets 14,do you think thats a good age to start wearing it?I am a grown woman and I still only wear a little every now and again.

I think girls could start wearing makeup at around 15 or 16.. since they're at their youth.. they really don't need all those cosmetics yet to highlight their beauty..

i never work make up as a teenager until about maybe 17 and even that it was just some eye shadow and lip stick...
i think it is up to parents to make sure girls understand how to wear it without looking like a "hoochie mama" as my mother always called it...lol...I think if they understand that, then it is okay to let them wear it a little sooner

Fourteen is a good age to start. She can use play lipstick when she is around twelve. Before that girls are tomboys and are really not interested in makeup. I never started to wear real lipstick until I was fourteen, and then at sixteen I was using mascara and nail polish and I used way too much. I looked like a cheap tr*mp. Most teenagers think the more they wear, the more grownup they look and that is not right.

my daughter is also 14 and we just started letting her wear makeup last year after she turned 13. she mostly wears eye liner and a bit of lip gloss. i too am lucky if i remember to put makeup on in the morning before running out to work! (i usually just wear blush, cover up and lip gloss)

My daughter is 8. She loves make-up. But I only let her wear it when shes at home!! I am trying to teach some about how to properly put it on and what colors accent her skin. She loves the mother daughter time together. But as far as letting her go out to school or anywhere I believe 14 or 15 is a good age.

I didn't start wearing make-up until 16. I was only allowed to wear neutral colors, and an occasional blur or purple. Then when i turned 18 and knew how to better apply it and make it look good, i started wearing all kinds.
14 is an ok age I guess, but I would only let her wear the basics...
