...i really do - they have so much great stuff to download for free...i spent some time reading their e-books...bet you didn't know they had e-books, did you? they've got a ton of "try before you buy", which i personally hate (it never seems to work right after you buy!!) but the opensource and freeware selection is awesome.
www.sourceforge.net is another good resource.
i don't know why, i just love free software!! i just downloaded the new Gimpshop, which is just as every good as photoshop...and free!!!
What free software do you like? Where do you like to get it from?

There are various other sites where you can get a lot of e-books and that also for FREE.Some of them are
www.phazeddl.com
www.torrents.to
www.monova.org
www.mininova.com
Fot the last three sites , you will need torrent downloader to download from these sites , which you can get for free from www.bitlord.com

We use BitComet. The software sometimes uses alot of bandwidth, but for the most part the quality is great. We have yet to download a virus. (knock on wood) Something I like about it is you have access to many sites like mininova, and my fave, btjunkie.org.

Most of my software are free versions. I created a site with plenty of links to freeware, and includes a printable freeware list. It's pcsourcepoint, which is in my mylot profile...

Hey vera5d! I just checked out that site a little and it is very cool. I did not know abut this one let alone the e-books. lol I have been thinking about getting photoshop for some time now. But I just keep on telling myself later, later. Just to never get it, I just did not want to spend the money on it, if you know what I mean. So I am gonna have to download Gimpshop myself to check it out. The free software that I have downloaded that I really like is OpenOffice its the same as Microsoft Office, except its Free. The software can be downloaded at openoffice.org. Again thanks for the tip!
