I find that when I work online about six or seven in the morning the computer runs faster. I also find that after midnight is a good time as well to work online. When I work online during the day like about four or five in the afternoon the computer runs very slow and I have dsl. The dsl is supposed to be faster that dial up. I upgraded to dsl so that I could move faster online. However, there are busy times online. Usually when people are off work they get online so stick to the wee hours of the morning or that late hours of the evening. I am online at all hours of the day and night though. I am sorry you have dial up because it is real slow and a pain in the but. Verizon is offering high speed in some areas for $19.99 for life. It is not in my area yet but I am hoping.

Yes. I find that working online after midnight seems to speed everything up. Although I have quite a few programs I work with so I must sign on before then and get started also. I checked Verizon last night and it isn't available here. I only found one place to service here and it is $79.99 a month just for DSL.

I can explain this for you.
You're internet provider will "be" less busy during off peak hours, it free up the cables and allows them to preform faster it could be this place too because the "site" isn't busy. free's up the server and allows that to be more speedy with loading pages, mylot isn't really slow for me though.
It's always faster at night here, but never slow. (unless the net goes down/comes back)

I'm on cable now but until last summer was on dial-up and yes there were times of the day such as from 11 a.m. until 9 or so at night that I didn't bother getting online. 3 or 4 in the morning were great times for me as I'm a morning person or there were times I would just stay up all night taking advantage of the faster time - fact is there were fewer people using the dial-up connections during that time so it had more space to run faster.

I checked on DSL again last night for my area and there is only one place I can get satellite from and it costs $79.99 a month for high speed only so I won't be getting DSL right now. That is high just for high speed. I have noticed that it is faster for me also at night being on dial up. I love working at night now.

I do believe for a reason why it seems faster for you is because for one during the day time it would tend to get busy and other networks and the internet would not be fast - even if you have a dialup connection. Of course during the night time people are asleep. For me I use high speed cable internet so I wouldn't know any difference of speed because it is just so lightning fast.

I think you are right. I think less people use the internet through dialup during the hours I am working online. My dialup does go faster during those hours. I only have one option for high speed here and it is $79.99 a month. That is high just for high speed.

I have dial-up also and it is so slow..For me it is slower in the evenings, in the mornings it is much faster. So from 7am-2pm it is faster as in turtle pace instead of snail that it is in the evenings.

It does have it's moments in the evening hours too, but it all depends on how many is on at the same time. It also depends on how long it takes me to log on to the net. It is takes longer then it is slower. Might just be my old junk clunker though it only has a 14 bps modem. I need to get a 56k on installed then maybe it will be faster.

That is good lanie. There is only one place for me to get high speed and it is through a satellite for DSL only and it is $79.99 a month just for that. that is very high. They could at least throw in some cable or something. I'm not so much interested about freeing up my phone line because I hardly ever use it, but the faster internet would be very nice.

I think not nessesary night is faster compare to daytime using a net, since we cannot also says that night has a less number of user on net, because... every part of this world has different time zone... for some it is night time, but for other it is day time... We can consider it is faster on night time since... most of us works best on night time...and we do surfing more comfortable on night time...That's what iam thinking...
But how in terms of speed naturally day or night is the sme all through out... The only factor we can consider is the climate and the server....

Oh yeah, nighttime it is faster, probably because as many people are not online as in the daytime.. Even with broadband I see a difference in the speed..

Mine's the opposite.. so I can't really enjoy surfing the net, but sometimes at night it's kinda fast. The reason why it's so slow at night at most times is that my dad keeps downloading 80's music and stuff that it slows down the connection.. LOL

I think if there is more people surf on the internet,it will seems to slow ,vice versa. So ,we can explain why sometimes it is faster than other.

Means that a sort of missing development from company that provide the dial up is around. How we can improve it while in cases I know just money is the dream.

Yeah, during the night, there is little cyber congestion, and that tends to make computers work faster! i see in my place of work too-it tends to work faster from 7pm when everybody has left work

oh, that's pretty hard to have a dial-up connection. I used to have that kind but now I'm on dsl connection, so it's alot faster. I think so, there were times when the connection is slow and there were times when it is faster, maybe if there are many users, then it slows down.

It seems to me that the internet is faster about 6 AM. I guess eveyone is getting ready for work but have not arrived yet so their computer is not running. Evening is a bit slower for me. I love the internet though

When I had dial up it was definitey faster at night. I attributed that to the fact that, even though I live in a small town, the businesses here and the schools all had dial up at the same time and not to mention all of the phones tht were being used, I think got it all jammed up and slow. Usually about 5 or 6 pm it would slow down.

Yers. I live in a small town too. I'm not sure if there are alot of people around here who use the internet as much as I do. I use it to earn online daily. I have noticed since working on here at night, it is somewhat faster for me. It starts to go fast around midnight till 8 a.m. or so.

It came to me such view. Depend on what kind of computer you work, what kind of router you have and what kind of connection the company is offering. And the discussion can go up and wide as many of us we face many aspects.
