If you want to buy something, will you mind where it is made in?

I don't really look unless its a store I don't usually shop at. More what I look at is the durablily and the stiching of the clothing as it plays a huge factor in if I am going to buy it or not. If I have never shopped at the store very much or before then I will look too see where it was made.

Almost two years ago, I performed an act of impulse buying. There, at Target, was a violin for $99.00 After several days of indecision, I bought it and started taking violin lessons. Now I am wondering since it is made in China, if maybe I can blame the lead in the violin for my lousy playing :D

I don't give it any much thought.If what I want is the right price, then I will buy it. If it isn't , then I won't buy it.I am so glad that I am here in the States where I don't have to bargain with the clerk to get the "right" price. If it isn't the right price, then I just leave it in the store.

I prefer to buy things from as close to home as possible, especially food. I don't buy meat from countries with poor ethical standards of meat production. if at all possible it will come from the same county I live in, or the next one, as I live right by the border. this is partly to support local producers, and partly becuase of "air miles" the nearer to the point of purchase the food was produced and packed, the less pollution has been created in it reaching me. the Westcountry also produces some of the best food you can get. when certain foods are out of season they are often produced abroad, and that will make me think twice about buying them.

Yes it is common to every one who purchases a thing looks first the place of its manufacturing country. Some countries have good background of making some thing. Such as Japan was famous due to durability of its electronic production. Thus the people used to purchase the electronic things made in Japan. Brand and place of manufacturing is countable every where in the world. So we take special care at the moment when we purchase a thing.

If I buy something that's branded, then I would definitely look into the place of origin. But if the stuff I am buying doesn't cost a lot, I wouldn't mind where it is made in. I guess I would feel betrayed if I am buying expensive stuff and found out it's made in some other countries else.

it depends on different things.for example,if I want to buy some digital device,then I will pay attention to its brand and its original place.but if it is clothes,then I will just pay attention to the style and price,lol

Most of the time.. i would choose the brand, too. If it is a trustworthy brand... for example: buying a "Panasonic" home appliance - i wouldnt really check to see where it is produced - i would just check to see if the product is genuine ! Most famous brands already have factories outside their original country - like Panasonic has factories all over Asia.... they make certain their standards of quality is maintained by each of these factories, or they will risk losing the consumer's trust in their brand... So, again.. if it is famous, trustworthy brand, i will just check to see if it a genuine product (waranty cards, etc.)... dun really matter where it was produced. peace! =)

This was never really problem that concerned me untill recently. I have noticed that there are so few and far products you see made in USA these days. Everything seem to come from china or japan, like their the only ones who know how to make stuff or something. I was fine with this till I start hearing stories about recall of products from china almost every night, which seems like a pretty big problem to me.

Yes, I make it sure that it is of good quality by looking of "who" made it. Just like in expiration dates and the contents or materials being used. These are the basis before I buy a particular thing. I value my money. For it is hard earned. I just wanna make it sure that it is not wasted. But what I buy is worth it.

I used to pay attention to the brand the country that made it, but now not anymore because most of the things included most of the branded goods are mostly made in China.

my friends dont but stuff especially those baking stuff that are made from china. i dont know why but i asked them and they said its not durable especially the glass ones. they cant use for baking. and some household stuff that are also made in china dont last long. so they make sure when they buy stuff it wouldnt be made in china! well most of the time i dont mind wherever it made but when i buy stuff that are quite expensive ill check what brand or where it is made in so as to insure it will last longer than the other brands. ^-^

for me it doesnt matter where it is made.whats important for me is its feautures and functionality it must meet what i needed and the cost must be competitive.

Yeah! To me brand is important,cause i am paying a lil' extra from my pocket for it. But where is manufacturing done i really dont pay much attention, cause if its fits right and comfortable and trendy, am happy with it. I believe in value for money, where ever it may be from..

Obviously we should think twice before buying toys made in China (because of all the lead). I have also heard negative feedback about cars made in China. Other than that, if something is nice and I like it, I don't really care where it was made.

Hi! Going back to your topic, I also check for the manufaturer of a certain products. I always consider the quality and the price. It should commensurate the right price and the high quality. We have to be very careful in choosing the right products.

Naturally , you should because you should get what your money is worth

I don't really mind where things are made at. I know a lot of people in the US are very mindful of this and will only buy Amerian. I have a Hyundai Elantra and once I was getting gasoline and a man approached me and told me how terrible I was that I bought a car from outside of the country. He was yelling at me at this gas station. I was pretty much just like "hey, if you want to buy me an American car, I'd be happy to tae it and drive it." I thought it was rude for him to come up to me like that. My parents owned a Harley Davidson shop, and although it is an American made motorcycle, some of the parts are made elsewhere. But I think it's all in what you can afford. For me it was more economical to buy the Hyundai.

Sometimes i did mind the manufacturer of the product bec. i have been lied many times by fake and cheap products...i do believe that those prestigeous manufacturer can give a good and long lasting products.

Unfortunately, yes. I mind it a lot, and i do get rather upset when i realise i am paying a lot of money for a certain brand but the product is made in China. Somehow it just pisses me off.
