A lot still go for snail mail, especially those that are not into computers. These are mostly those that belong to age bracket 40 and above. They still believe that snail mail worked for a hundred years already so why stop now and choose another way for sending mails? They still cling to old fashioned ways and does not want to try something new. New technology becomes their fear. They fear what they haven't actually tried. They still do not understand the truth behind e-mail, that it is much faster, easier to use and fun too.

Well, I'm 60 years old and have been using email for more years than I can remember. Between the rising cost of postage stamps and the ease of email I can't see why anyone except those without a pc would bother with snail mail. I email my family who is out of state and send cards to friends and family who are in the same state and even city that I am in. For me there is nothing better than email!

My mom is almost 65 years old. Wish she could be the same as you are. I mean she knows how to actually use a PC as she's a College Professor but she haven't really tried email. Her reason? She says traditional way of writing a letter or snail mail is still the best, it shows the person you're writing to that you cared more and took the effort of writing manually? big deal huh? like she writes as often as I do. Well, I say let her stick to her old way of writing a letter, anyway, if she does use email... her friends will not be able to answer her back as they aren't into computers and email lol

Oh I hate writing letters these days, email is the way to go, although I have a lot of friends who love getting emails but don't like sending them for some reason, I love the whole thing, sending, receiving, your right it is so much fun, it opens up the world.
