Eerie Siting

A few nights ago, when putting my daughter to sleep, she asked me what that glowing thing was in the closet. I looked over, and sure enough, there was a glowing orb in the closet. If I were standing, it would have been about face level to me, or a little higher. The room was pitch black, no light reflections from another room or from the window. It was really weird. I just told her I didn't know what it was and to go to sleep. I haven't seen it since. Whatever it was, it was creepy, yet at the same time comforting. Strange......

Wow, your story creeped me out.
I was watching a program in Discovery Channel about paranormal incidences some months ago.
I think that glowing orb you described is what they call a "spirit ball" or something like that. As the name suggest, it is supposedly the energy of a spirit manifested in the shape of a glowing ball.
I hope that "friendly" visit was someone close ... otherwise, it is eerie.

It could of been a lot of things. Could of been a loved one that have past away. Like one person mentioned an angel. I have seen some weird things in my day. Never seen a glowing orb though. Since you said you found it comforting, I wouldn't worry about it. Now with your daughter I only thing I would tell her is don't worry because whatever it was can't hurt you and that like the one person said that maybe it's your guardian angel watching over you.
Now if you ever do feel scared and she still feels scared to just say out loud To go away, your not welcomed here, this is our home. I hope you and your daughter don't see anything again, it's creepy especially for a small child.

Well, I once read a book called Angels, by Sylvia Brown. She talked in great deal about spirit guides and guardian angels and such. Maybe since what you saw was somewhat peaceful it could have been some sort of angel.
However, I've never had any experience like that. I'm such a wuss myself, I probably would have had to keep the lights on all night :) You are braver than I.
