I own a 1994 GMC Sierra recently the seatbelt on the passanger side quit working. Meaning it is stuck and won't let you move the bottom part of the belt. Does anyone haveany suggestions on how to fix it without replacing the assembly.

It's been my experience when they are stuck they are stuck. Best bet to replace it. If you were to take it to a dealer, probably cost about $200. I have a friend who is a mechanic. He told me at one point, dealers usually don't carry anything more than 10 years old. So what we have done in the past is go to the junk yard. There are lots of useable inexpensive, occassionally free parts there. Then call around to mechanics say you have the part how much to install. Whole shabang should run you about $45-50 bucks if that.

Thank you, I was hoping that I would not have to replace it. But that is the way it is right. When there broke there broke. Again thank you for the help.
