I am still very tired all the time so I am still sleeping a lot
Well Gissi has been asleep all Morning into the afternoon (and now)
When I laid on the Settee covered in a blanket the little Devil was wide awake so he decided to play the Game get under the Blanket and then get out again, I told him to lie down and yes he did but not in the Space that I made for him oh no he laid on me, with his Ears up and looking proud of himself. Ok no Problem at least he has laid down. I was just dropping of when of all a sudden he got of me came to my Face and obviously thought I needed a wash. I had to laugh at him as again he looked all proud. I tried to tell him in a stern Voice (did not quite work) that Mum is tired so can he please lie down, yep again he laid down and this time in the Space I had left him, again dosing of, next thing Gissi gets my Hand that was under the Blanket
Because my Hand had moved he decided it was playing time, ok now it is enough I am tired the little Rascal has been asleep most of the Day and now decides because he is awake I need to be awake, well he is wrong. Again I tell him it is time to sleep for me to lie down and behave
He does he lies on my feet, that was no problem, but it WAS A PROBLEM when he decides that the Cushion is not right and is moving the Cushion about and while doing that he is jumping and digging by my feet, I told him to quit or I will get him of the Settee, well I felt awful then as he laid down and kept giving me sad Looks , he would look down and then look at me all sad, I could not handle that and told him to come to me, well he jumped up all happy decided to walk on me and then give a wash again and nip my Nose. Well after all that he must have decided that he had annoyed me enough and went to sleep. Well I got an hour, before Gissi decided to bark and wake me up.
Help, what am I going to do with the little Devil, I can not be angry with him and when I do he makes me feel guilty
So I think tonight when he wants to sleep, it will be my turn hehehehe

I think he's so glad to have you home that he wants to make the most of you, have fun, play and be full of mischief, remind you of someone? LOL. He is just making sure are ok and wants fuss, comfort and lots of love and play, I think I will take him out and play with him in the garden so you can have some undisturbed sleep, I promise not to get him dirty! Maybe we'll find your hot water bottle out there too ;0)

What a cute little bugger. Those sad eyes would have done me in too! The bath would have done me in though. I would have made sure that he knew it was out of the question. My cats get a squirt from the spray bottle when they continue to be annoying. That stops them in their tracks!

Tell us what you do to hi. We will really enjoy it. I have a cat that does very much the same thing if I rest in the recliner. He just wants to be loved, I know, but it is so frustrating. I suppose you will steal his blanket tonight, or give him a wash, as well.

I hear you loud and clear, Gabs! Our pets - or I mean our kids...lol - sure can be little devils but it's impossible to get mad at them or to hurt their feelings, they can make you feel so darn guilty! I guess they're like babies, maybe on an even bigger scale, where you have to plan your rest around their whims.
My husband stayed at my daughter's house to babysit while she and her husband went to Atlantic City for the weekend a couple years ago. She has a houseful of cats and at that time there were two very young kittens. Of course they kept him up all night long, pouncing on his face and attacking his hair, nose, eyelashes - you name it, they pounced on it all night long - so in the daytime when they were sleeping he'd bump them with his foot every time he walked by them so they couldn't sleep either. It was so funny!

My cat, Morgana, loves to decide when it is time for me to get up. It doesn't matter if I'm still tired or not, she will climb up next to my face and blow hot cat breath (with a hint of tuna) into my face until I wake up. Occasionally she will bat my nose with her paw if I don't wake up quick enough.
She also will tell me when it is nap time by nipping my ankles until I follow her to bed. She is very demanding but I love her dearly.

I think he's probably trying to make you as comfortable as possible, so that you won't have to go off and leave him scared again. He's trying to put the cushion under your feet, and kissing you to let you know he's trying to help you feel better.
Let him do it, Gabs... it's all a part of the "welcome home, I'm so pleased to see you back" process. It might annoy you when you're tired, but it's the only way he knows how.
Love and hugs. xxx

Love and Hugs to you xxxx

No, maybe you didn't want the cushion under your feet, but to Gissi, that cushion is his comfort and he thinks it will comfort you too. As for the running up and down on you, is it at all possible that there was nowhere much else to tread with you curled up under a blanket? lol. Either that, or he wanted to make you notice that he had put the cushion there for you, by licking you, to make you open your eyes and take a look. He's not daft, that li'l fella! lol.

After the episode with the car that has the blue light, I am not surprised that Gissi is being protective. Gissi is not just washing your face. He is trying to give you CPR and rescue breathing. LOL Every time you sleep, Gissi worries about you.

Well it would be your turn if you had the energy! lol He only does it in retaliation - remember all those times on the phone when you tease him by saying the 'b' word - yes bath and all the time knowing how he hates the word! You must have deserved it - the pair of you are as bad as each other and I love you both! lol

When ever I lay down and Petie is not in his Kennel he sleeps on my hip or my arms. Sometimes when I sleep on the couch I have all three pets laying on me or beside me. I have Sammy and Petie on me and Abagail at my feet I do not dare move or they are romping all over me.
I hope you will be feeling better soon.
Hugs and kisses

Awww gabs... he's just so glad to have you back home and he's trying to let you know how he feels. Another thing, he's probably got so much pent up energy that he doesn't know what to do with it. Maybe you could ask your neighbor to take him for a walk. That might calm him down a bit so he can lay still and sleep too.

Thats pretty funny.I got a laugh out of that.It sounded familiar.Whenever I move around in bed my dog thinks I am about to get up so she jumps to her feet hoping. Then when she knows I'm not getting up she lays down.Every time I change
positions in bed the dog is up and then down. She is up on her feet then laying down all night long as I move around. It
must really tire her out.
