I was thinking of doing this, a friend of mine is doing it through Allied business Schools. For $3000 she can be done in a year, or whenever she wants and she gets a laptop to keep. She said they are supposed to help her find a job as well. My question is, has anyone used one of this at home courses and had success with it? Did they help you find a job?

I did my Medical Assistance. Be careful with this one. You have to make sure the school is accredited. Unfortunatly I found out the hard way alot of them are not and you won't be recognized even with a certificate. Also, 90% of transcription jobs you have to work in an office or hospital then you can work from home. I worked as a transcriptionist for a year but only got hired because I had the medical assistant and CNA behind me.
If the school is accredited (spelled wrong) and you can get an internship I would go for it. It is not a feild that pays alot of money but once you have experience you can do it from home
