Just like those who live in Las Vegas - a city that never sleeps, like vampires that roam the night, people that work or party until the morning, how many of you are late night people? Sometimes I tend to stay up late night, can be peaceful and quiet, but then again depending where you go it can be dangerous, would not be safe if you were to walk alone in an alley or street area. Do you tend to just watch TV for hours, or maybe sit on the computer surfing the internet, or stay stuck playing your console game system like the Playstation or Xbox unit? Or is it that you face issues with insomnia, restless nights, full of stress or something that bothers you maybe thinking of somebody? Or you're probably working graveyard shift as a watch guard or working in a call center doing technical support. There can be hundreds of reasons why people stay up late night - What do you do?

I am definitely a night person. When I lived with my parents, I would sleep after I got home from school and stay up at night because I hated being around my miserable family. My parents hated it. I loved it, though, because I got to be by myself and enjoy some peace and quiet. Today, I tend to stay up late because my sleep schedule gets screwed up for some reason or another. Sometimes I am just not sleepy. I like to stay up and surf on the computer, watch movies, play guitar hero or rockband on my 360, or catch up on my favorite tv shows at sidereel.com.

I work late night from 5PM to 2AM. And then go back home, sometimes I stay up a little more if I'm going to the internet cafe to check my emails on the computer.

i stay up at night because i have to check my email and surf the net until i get bored and go to sleep because i'm tired. sometimes, i don't even stay up at night. right after work, i just go straight to bed and sleep. the next day i would wake up and take a shower, get dressed and go to work. in some rare occassions, i read books at night.

I have done this more then I like to admit. The reason are mulitple, from work to pleasure. Either its a good book that I just can't put down or a movie that I wanna watch and then I see something else that is on I like to watch. For Christmas I got some different games for my DS so I play and play and play to the wee hours. And then there is work, I work from home so some of my shifts do run over night, which has be stay up until late/early the next morning. But most of the time it really does not bother me cause I know when I do go to bed I can sleep in.

I stay up late all the time. I always have. I read, I chat with my sister online. My husband and I watch movies, talk, or we play video games. The latest is Guitar Hero. Most of the times I just end up watching him play his games though. I don't mind. I like to watch him play his games sometimes.
Usually I am on the internet if I am up late though.

I am a night owl and always have been. I don't go out and party, but i can't seem to get to sleep before 2 or 3 in the morning...i have been this way for years and years. I've tried sleeping pills and everything, but it just doesn't work with me. Guess i was just born to stay up late, but in raising three kids it makes it extremely hard to get up at 7 in the morning to get them ready for school...all but my 20 month old who stays at home with me. love staying up late, but i'm definitely not a morning person what so ever unless it's after 10. LOL! God bless

I tend to stay up late to unwind. I serf the net and watch TV. Sometimes I ready or chat with friends. I also catch up on the household chores that i did not get done during the day. Sometimes a hot bubble bath is nice to help me unwind when i can not sleep. I think that a lot of people like to serf the net late at night. thats when i see most of my friends online.

I've always stayed up late since my childhood, i never go to sleep at 8 or 9 or 10 pm, i dont know why it is, sometimes if i'm really tired, i do sleep at those hours, but then i wake up at midnight, and i turn the tv, or i surf and chat online for hours until i realize its really late like 2 or 3 am, sometimes i go to bed at midnight or 1 am, but i start thinking about my life, and about my future or i get nervous if its too dark, because i dont like darkness, and i start hearing things, and i get all anxious, i've been trying to fix this situation, because when i go to sleep so late, i get up very late, and i skip breakfast, and it made me loose weight a lot, so much that i had to see a nutritionist and she gave me a diet of eating 3 meals a day, and 2 snacks in the morning and afternoon, but i still was skipping breakfast because of my insomnia, so i decided to make my breakfast the night before and put it inside a microwave container, and make hot tea and put it inside a thermo, and i put this in my night table, and i put the alarm at 7 am, to eat my breakfast, and if i'm still sleepy i go back to sleep, since i dont have a job for now, but this way at least i dont skip one of my meals, another solution i was thinking about is maybe to not sleep in a very dark room, because i get anxious, i feel my body very tired, but my mind is so active and i cant sleep, i was thinking of having a little light , like those for children, but without people really knowing this because it would be embarrasing, i dont know, i need more ideas, but anyways, yes i'm a night owl, i dont go out to the streets at these hours because its dangerous in my country, especially for a woman, but i do stay awake late at night, i get very active, i'm not a morning person, even if i dont have to go anywhere if i wake up early i get irritated i dont know why, i feel stressed, i will try to be more of a morning person little by little.

I don't go to bed until 2am. I'm usually on the computer and have the tv on at the same time. I used to work 3:30pm-12am for several years. I liked it because I'm not a morning person. That shift would make me really lazy because I wouldn't get up until about 2pm to get ready for work. I'm not working outside the home now so I can go to bed late and wake up late. I'm just a night owl, always have been.

Just recently I began staying up late again. I used to stay up late at night and then the next day I'd be sleeping so often that I'd get called a "vampire" lol it was those nights when I would play games on my consoles, or surf the internet, watching tv, thinking of things or someone, or sometimes partying but I kind of strayed away from that when I started a new job from then I started coming home from work tired as heck I'd take a shower & go straight to bed but nowadays I'm finding myself staying up late again I don't know if it's because of the computer or sometimes I have my restless nights.

It depends, sometimes when i watch anime i feel that i really have to se the next episode also, has happen a couple of times. It could also be that i just don't feel tired or don't want to sleep, feeling more like doing someting rather than sleeping. Mostly the reason to stay up longer has someting to do with my computer and internet. It can happen that i play video games instead of sleeping but as often as internet being the cause of staying up late.
