I would just like to let people know that if you've bought an HD DVD player from October 15-present then you are eligible to receive 5 free HD DVD movies in the mail. Toshiba has also slashed its prices where you can buy a 1080p player for $180 at Amazon.com.
HD DVD is not done yet. Who else here believes so!!

HD-DVD is dying. The last few movie studios that were backing it are almost all now either dual-format or Blu-ray exclusive. I think there is only ONE movie studio that is today still HD-DVD exclusive.
HD-DVD simply cannot compete with the greater capacity/extensibility of Blu-ray, and what you posted here sounds more like a desperate attempt to garner support, more than a sign that HD-DVD is "back in it".
Blu-ray has a big lead in the US, and it's even greater in Europe. Warner Bros. just abandoned HD DVD in favor of Blu-ray. You can buy Blu-ray movies for as little as $15 on Amazon (http://news.punchjump.com/article.php?id=5392). And Blu-ray is the only format where its movies can be played on a current next-gen video game console (the Playstation 3) WITHOUT any add-ons. Blockbuster, a huge video rental chain, is also supporting Blu-ray only.
Face it, it's pretty much over. Blu-ray has been chosen by the movie studios. It will be THE next-generation media format.
