mylot has its own system of calculating our points which remains a puzzle to me. however, in my more than two months of stay here, i have figured out that i am able to earn more if i respond to discussions. but giving comments to the responses on your own discussions is a way of keeping your friends or making friends here. enjoy your stay!

I agree.
Also mylot does have its own system of calculating our earnings, the reason they dont just publicly announce what it is and what we earn on is so that not everyone does this or mylot members will be earning way to much.
What ever it is they keep it private so that they can still make enough money to pay us.

What I feel is that myLot doest not want its members to figure out how their earnings are calculated because they are more focused in promoting this community and maintaining the quality of all discussions. If your purpose of joining myLot was just because you could earn more money here then I am afraid this is not the right place. But if you want to make friends and share your views and thoughts with many people from different parts of the world then you have come to the right place.Consider these earnings only little incentives and rewards to your contributions made over here.

i truely can not work it out.i think when you respond to other people's post you earn more money than if you start a discussion and reply to your responses.i look at my earnings one day and say i did more than that and then the next day it is well over what i did,so i have no idea how they work it out.cheers sue

Agreed - it's a total black art. Some days I think it's because I started discussions, some because I replied and others based on the number of replies to my discussions. Perhaps one day I will discipline myself and only do one action for the whole day to see how it pays. It's confusing mainly because the rewards aren't posted per action and appear the following day. One thing I have noticed is that I get more money on nights when I've been drinking - must be more chatty then! :)

This isn't a stupid question. You dont earn anything for comments but you so earn for replies. I hope this has been helpful, i still think you should comment back to all replies to your discussions.

Overall I think it just depends on the quality of your responses and discussions as well as how interesting you keep it. I think that's a pretty fair rating systems for calculating everyones earnings, but some things make me question if I'm missing something.

I have no clue either. I think it would be nice to have a chart for each category, like 1 comment=x amount and so forth. Heck I would make one for everyone if i knew what the pay scale was. But I personally think you earn for starting a discussion that generates replys and for replying to others discussions. I don't know about blogs, since I haven't started one since they don't allow personal blogs unless it relates to something like weight loss.

I think that you will earn more money doing responses, but I think that there has to be a level of new discussions for people to generate these comments and replies.

I have absolutley no idea how they work out your earnings... I always "respond to discussions" and if they ae my discussions that I have started I will make comments on what others have posted in it. So I do both of them but dont know which / if either would earn me more money. Sorry I cannot be much help! Have a great day though :)
